I would be leery of putting a poncho over the controls, I am clumsy enough to turn and look at something and ..pull.
My Seattle riding gear is weather dependent. In our normal mist and light rain, I just use a water-resistant jacket and 2-3 layers of shirts. For medium wet days, I have a cheap rain suit it's not fashionable but it's really the only way to keep dry. If it's heavy rain I wear the suit and take the bus.
For the scooter controls, I slip a ziplock bag over them with a rubber band to hold it in place.
I actually don't have my clothing stuff in there just yet, I have the Frogg Toggs UL Suit so my plan would be to just throw that on should it rain and then I'll have my pack rain cover and any items in my pack that need to stay dry inside a trash compactor bag.
Is there anything else I should have rain wise?
Get them from Amazon US?
They even ship to Australia
I got mine off of amazon
I was wondering if i really needed to bring rain gear, whats your advice?
I was thinking of frog toggs.
