For the top of the line, sure. But mine was $149. Another quick google search and this was amidst the more expensive ones.
If u need it to be portable you could maybe get an alienware alpha since it's the smallest you can get without spending that much but u would still need a monitor, keyboard and mouse so u could maybe also get something like this
There might be a better alternative but that's the only product like that that I've seen
have u looked into something like the one below? it is a console case with an integrated TV, some run on battery too. Dude on my football team had one that would get him about 8 hours of "off the grid" gaming. The one down below is the just the first result on amazon, not something i would recommend. :D
GAEMS G155 Sentry Personal Gaming Environment [link]
This company makes some pretty cool portable game stations that if you paired with a do car converter could work pretty well with a console.
I got this for my birthday because I thought it would be good for travel but the thing I use it for the most is playing PS4 while my wife is watching TV. I even sometimes pair it with a PS TV so I don't have to keep unplugging and replugging the PS4.
I'm not sure if this makes any sense to u. I haven't tried this or seen anyone tried it. Getting an alienware alpha with this [link] or something similar. It's kinda in between the laptop and the desktop in terms of portability
but i also would have to change the audio cables as well. I dont use hdmi audio.
buggers! maybe ill get this: [link]
If you travel a lot and can afford it, this thing is what you want:
you can play your ps3 anywhere you can plug it in for power.
Something like this?
I didn't know what you were talking about until I googled it and found it on amazon: [link]
if you are overly concerned about space, I keep considering getting one of these It'd be able to store it when It's not in use, but my other alternative is a wall mount on a bulkhead near my table. [link] that's the space I'm working with, the xbox on the shelf behind the bench. sorry for the poor ms paint edit, I haven't set it up yet. I will say space management is a pita when you live in a small area.
Yes, you are out of the loop. These have been out for years. [link]
This is what I use. The screen looks great. I would recommend it.
I don't believe it's tournament standard but it's pretty decent.
edit: I believe they're using the 19" version, which is this one
True. But you could buy something like this [link]
GAEMS is the only company you want to buy these things from. They make performance cases with monitors that the professionals use.
The Sentry is the cheapest monitor/case GAEMS. 15 Inch 720p HDMI screen. Heard the Xbox One a tight fit in that model. The next one up is the Vanguard. It's got a 19 inch 720p HDMI screen. Unlike the Sentry, it comes with a case shoulder strap and interior case lighting. The Xbox One has a bit more room in the case as well. The last model (that's currently out) is the M155 which is an HDMI iPad-like ultra-light monitor that runs entirely on USB3 power. It doesn't include a case, however for a bit extra you can get a cool backpack bundle for it.
Hope this helped you.
Maybe you could put it in something like this, and you could take it anywhere.
Well 4 years of PS+ is not necessary to buy outright, and it can also be found for less than $40 usually, let alone $50. Other than that, lifetime of a console is potentially longer before a hardware upgrade is necessary. Also, there are cheaper portable console cases with screens (you actually chose one of the most expensive ones) like this one
or this one
which is admittedly not nearly as convenient, but is cheaper.
Anyway, I'm just trying to say that depending on your needs and habits, consoles can be cheaper, and sometimes simpler to use. Again, they can of course turn out to be more expensive in the long run, I'm just saying it's not always the case.
In the end, I just don't see the point of trying to prove that one option is better than the other, and I don't consider myself superior or inferior to other people based on whether they game or what platform they use for gaming.
heres the amazon link.
