I have the SHP9500S. I mostly use them with my PC when working, but have used them several times with my Xbox One. They are great sounding headphones for both gaming and music. The ear cups are huge and completely surround your ear. Probably the most comfortable over ear headphones I have ever worn. They are open back. So the sound isolation is not great. Also, they leak sound so others in the room could hear it. On the plus side of that, they do not get hot. My ears stay cool and do not sweat while wearing them.
Also, they have detachable cable. So you can use a cable with a mic when gaming/chatting and a regular cable when listening to music. I use this mic with mine. Plugs right into the xbox one controller.

I use one of these with my Sony mdx1000 and just plug it into the controller. It'd probably work with a phone too.

My apologies it's actually 20. I must have got it on sale years ago. Regardless it sounds much better than the boompro.

The one i found, is it the same one? It doesn't specify anywhere that its compatible with HD598's or anything, there's also this one, but it seems exactly the same.

Drop that motherboard down to a $50-60 H110 from Gigabyte, ASRock or MSI. Z motherboards are meant for overclocking, which only K processors can do. If you're buying Windows, don't waste your money on 7, it has a slower boot time and doesn't support DX12. Do not buy a 60Hz TN panel, look for either 144Hz, or IPS, you won't loose any money with this massive upgrade if you look around. You can probably get the CPU or a similar GPU cheaper through Jet.com with promo code "triple15". Keep an eye on r/buildapcsales.
On a more subjective note, I don't like the case, it's an old design and rather cheaply produced. For five dollars more you could get something like a Phanteks P400 or Thermaltake Core V21. I'd also swap the headset for something more audio quality oriented, such as a Monoprice 8323 with an attachable boom mic, or wait for sale prices on a Samson SR850 or Superlux 886B to pair with a generic desk mic. Optical drives aren't required for anything, install OS via USB, games via Steam and Battle.net, download or stream movies and music from where-ever.
Tek Syndicate's guide remains relevant, I've used a couple of these headphones and they're no doubt better than comparatively priced "gaming" headsets. Monoprice 8323s sell for $16 these days, when they're in stock; the Superlux and Samson headsets are occasionally on sale for $30. Here is an additional mic to consider, a bit cheaper than the BoomPro in both price and quality. Generic desktop mics like this are also usable in my experience.
