My VivoActive lasts ~18 days. I use mine on Android, but both Amazon and the people asking if it works with iPhone claims it works on iOS. Always-on colored screen, longer battery life than Pebble, built-in fitness tracker, and GPS capabilities. Might be worth checking out.
I picked up an older Garmin Vivoactive on marketplace for $20 because it didn’t have a charger. I think I paid $10 for a charger on eBay. It’s awesome. It’s a multi sport watch but I only use it for golf. Super straight forward. No fluff. There are a few golf features I don’t use. E.g. scoring. But I only use it for distance. Gives you front, middle and back distances and they are very accurate. I haven’t found a course that wasn’t in the Garmin database yet.
There isn't a whole lot of selection for iOS devices besides the Apple Watch. It is not the most visually appealing smartwatch, but I have the VivoActive and according to Amazon and Garmin, works with iOS. It's likely the best watch for the money that will work with iOS (~3 week battery life, GPS, always-on screen, typical smartwatch functionality, etc).
So I'm thinking of the Vivoactive because it seems like it does everything decently well, Garmin syncs with Nike which is a bonus, and it has smartwatch elements. Any thoughts?
Hey the Garmin Vivioactive sounds like it might fit the bill.
From what I've heard it has some strong pros and cons.
+Long battery life (they claim 3 weeks)
+Sturdy build
+Reliable software performance
+Very thin and reasonably sized
-Screen is comparatively small and low resolution
(probably why it lasts so long)
-Screen is very dim, apparently hard to see sometimes
Also the new Pebble stuff is coming out in a few months, they look pretty good too.
The deals will be closing very soon though (for a product you won't get until the fall.)
