There are timers that let you pick which parts of a 24 hr cycle the power will be on... Get one of these and you can select any custom.interval by just picking which segments are up and down. It's not just a button but is the simplest solution i know of.

GE 24-Hour Heavy Duty Indoor Plug-in Mechanical Timer, 2 Grounded Outlets, 30 Minute Intervals, Daily On/Off Cycle, for Lamps, Seasonal, Christmas Tree Lights and Holiday Decorations, 15075 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00366JSNU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_AZ652S72Q7TW53P11A4E
Something like this. If you search outlet timer on amazon you get thousands of results just like this.
They sell these at just about every Walmart hardware store or Walmart like store as well.
Electric heater and a timer plug is what I go with. Doesn't cost much and I can pre-heat the garage and barbells in the morning.
How much time do you have before your trip? They make timers to turn lights on and off at certain hours, like this one.

Again, you can buy one of those cheap dial jobs- here's an example of the kind I mean. I'm not saying you should buy that particular one, I just wanted to show you that you don't need anything fancy or expensive.
I'd urge you to get on top of this algae problem before you set up a new tank, and don't rely on fish to deal with it for you. Otherwise you will be in an endless battle, because anything that eats, also poops- so you will have more mess to clean up one way or the other.
I use this one and have no complaints:

There are numerous smart plugs that will allow you to do this, but a bigger issue is whether you can use one on your workplace's internet. There's a good chance that they block access to automation devices for security reasons.
You could just buy one of these things if you're afraid that you'll leave your heater running while you're not there.
Two ideas. Sleep with the window shades up so sunlight can help. Buy LED strips and an outlet timer such as this so that it comes on when you need to get up and turns off when it’s bedtime. Together these were really effective for me last semester. Only thing they don’t do is force you to get into/out of bed!

Use with cheap on off white noise machine. Works everytime
From my perspective, it seemed like people saw that healing injury, blamed you before checking in on the rescue status, and then came in really hot in the comments. Motivated from a good place of wanting to ensure your snake was being well cared for, but misdirected. I didn't see you reacting defensively or anything, just letting people know what was going on in spite of people coming at you.
Glad you got a better viv set up, and good luck with that light installed! Slightly related tangent, I like to keep my viv light connected to one of these timer plug type deals to regulate day/night lighting.
Looking forward to seeing more of Tesoro around! My carpet python is named Puppy, and here's a couple photos from a time we went to the park together. Obviously you need to be careful with taking your pet out, but it can be a great enrichment activity if done with care and appropriate supervision.

It's a great setup. The timer couldn't be simpler. The bulbs are incredibly powerful and my plants love them. Downsides are that they are large and heavy, get quite hot, and need to be positioned far enough away from the foliage so they don't burn leaves.

I use this, it turns on around 8pm and shuts off 12 hours later when i want to balance the battery. Not as high tech, but simple.
I have absolutely solved issues with equipment that needs hard reboots with one of these.
https://www.amazon.com/GE-Mechanical-Intervals-Decorations-15075/dp/B00366JSNU/
I felt lazy and dirty doing it, but sometimes a unit is simply not replaceable and the time spent trying to get it to work is excessive.
It super reliable, but if there's a power outage, the time will be off so it would have to be checked if not plugged into an UPS.
Get some timers for your lights to turn them on and off .
Make sure and have a trusted neighbor clean up items left at your door. Packages, menus, etc.
Spend $8 and plug your modem into one of these and you'll have perfect reliable scheduling of your internet on any time schedule you would like.

Just to make sure we're on the same page, you mean one of these?

Because these are a lifesaver, I have all my tanks and reptile cages hooked up to one of several
For managing light times I use an outlet timer and it's simple, cheap, and effective.
Buy a light timer, so that way you can set it and forget it.
NTA - for sleep, I would say get a timer electrical socket and hook a light to it. example, couldn’t find one for your outlet type. only know American and some European plug types.
Also maybe get a vibrating watch thing. like this thing
Or these, alarm clock with vibrating pad
I hope this can help anybody. Good luck dude
I like to avoid the use of heaters if possible because they can fail and electrocute your turtle and potentially burn your house down.
Ask yourself how cold do you let your house get ever? Is it above 60f? You don't need one then.
I recommend this timer. I have 3 of them: GE 24-Hour Heavy Duty Indoor Plug-in Mechanical Timer, 2 Grounded Outlets, 30 Minute Intervals, Daily On/Off Cycle, for Lamps, Seasonal, Christmas Tree Lights and Holiday Decorations, 15075 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00366JSNU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_eFQpFb4MJG3TJ
Don't feed your turtle daily or worse twice daily.
Change your UVB/UVA bulbs every 6 months if they are CFL like this one: Zoo Med ReptiSun 10.0 Mini Compact Fluorescent Lamp https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A8RHTYU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_VGQpFb6P1DE4G
YBS need extra UVA/UVB so go with the bulb I linked or a similarly powered one.
You also need cuttlebones. Exo Terra Sepia Bones for Turtles https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002YPZDBK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_eIQpFb2ZFDZR0
Any cuttlebones will do though.

Don't buy a dock. Make one from egg crate diffuser materials and zip ties: https://youtu.be/KDb6cv5I9Tg
Your turtle needs to get fully dry on top and bottom or they will get shell rot. I had a zoomed dock that cost 50$ and I replaced it after a scare with shell rot.
something like this. There are lots of the on line and in hardware stores (in the US).

On closer inspection it does look like cyanobacteria, also known as blue-green algae but it's not algae. It will eventually cover EVERYTHING in the tank. Check out Chemiclean which melts the stuff within a day or two without hurting plants and critters.
I use this one. It's a simple mechanical timer. How does yours not work?
