Yes, DB25 to DB9 to USB should work fine. You should only need drivers in the guest.
That one you linked looks fine, though I have much more personal experience with the ones using an FTDI chipset, like this one that I have.
I think I got the same one off amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AHYJWWG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Made by Gearmo B00AHYJWWG. Works great on my Lenovo Thinkpad running Windows 10. It came with a disk but the windows drivers worked without me needing the disk.
I've bought of few of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AHYJWWG/ I also carry a gender changer just in case. It works very reliably and keeps getting "borrowed" by my fellow kleptotechs. I've also grabbed Cisco cables from the trash after a rack & stack but never needed it in the past 8 years.
