You don't need to spend a ton! This one is CLUTCH. Plus it's on Amazon. Mine has been heavily used, and is still in great shape. I totally recommend it! Happy kiefing!

I never tire of recommending this Golden gate Grinder The stars on amazon don't lie the thing is a beast. Chews through bud just like an my space case I had previous this one. Catches kief just the same kief production is huge! I lost mine recently and am choosing to go with this one again over space case or anything because the price beats any others by a mile and the quality is just the same.
Want to register a down vote for one of the mass sellers on Amazon. I'm not thrilled with the Golden Gate Grinder 4-Piece. It grinds fine but being made of anodized aluminium, it can't go thru the dishwasher without building up a film. And one more thing, 4-piece.... why? Sucks that Amazon is dominated by 4-piece.

Here's a link to where I got it from. I love it man, no complaints, I was looking for the best grinder ever made, and this was one of the highest rated that wasn't break the bank expensive.
How much? The best grinder I’ve ever owned is my current one. So smooth, feels like it’s got ball bearings between the chambers. Large Golden Gate Grinder, only paid $19.99 for it late last year, it’s up to $25.99 now.

I got this from Amazon and lovvvveeee it. It also catches so much kief.
Using this for 2 months and it shreds a medium to coarse grind every time. Turn it over for fine grind.
For a few more dollars, you could also try the Golden Gate Grinder. They have great customer service and a solid well built product.

edit: my advice is to go through amazon. This is the exact one I purchased about 4 years ago and it still looks and works factory new
edit#2: if you are worried about someone seeing it come in the mail, you could always buy several other cheap items that you want along with it and get them all packaged together in 1 large box.
Not sure what your price range is but I recently just bought one on amazon and it's great! 4pc with a great catch for kief. Larger than I thought. Great quality and grinds nice and fine.
GoldenGateGrinder: had it for almost 4 years now and still sharp and easy to use. only issue with it is that the screen is a little small so you end up with a small pool of larger chunks of keif(kief?) in your herb chamber.

Otherwise, you can't go wrong with a grinder. A lot of people don't want to spend money on one, but they totally appreciate using one once they have one. That one is an absolutely excellent one.

You won't really find a grinder smaller then 1.25. I just got a 1.5 in grinder from amazon, and its a lot smaller then I expected. It can be carried around fairly easily. I'd recommend trying out a 1.5 or 1.25in grinder and seeing how it is. Heres a link to the one I bought:

they are called four pieces grinders, they have a screen that filters out the little particles of the kief powder, so it is collected at the bottom one of the better quality ones is this one [link]
I have a 2.5" golden gate I'll grind up a couple days worth in, and scoop out of into the fg as needed. I like to have an initial grind over a keef screen.
It's $30 instead of $20, but when you consider how much value worth of product passes through it, it's worth it. Look how good the reviews are.

I'd say a grinder or maybe some joint papers or blunt wraps. If they dab maybe a new nail or a dab tool or silicone wax container. If they're a bong guy get a bowl and maybe a hempwick lighter with a spool of hemp wick if it's in you're budget. Here's and this some joint papers and tips. If possible I'd try to make your SS isn't a a kid living with his parents don't wanna get him in trouble haha

It beats those $60+ grinders and it's a third of the price. It also comes with a lifetime warranty, so you can buy it once and own it for life!
I opted for the 1.5 inch. Smaller then I expected, but it works really well. Best grinder I've owned so far and I've went through a lot of them.
I just ordered this one from Amazon because it seemed to have a better rating overall and I like the way the teeth are positioned/shaped.

If weed broke your grinder I think it's time you throw out that plastic grinder and get yourself an aluminum grinder. As for the strain nobody would know except probably the dealer depending how far up he is and the grower.
