That shit is a miracle. Takes sticky residue off of anything. Definitely a good thing to keep around the house.
The product you're looking for is called Goo gone, it's made to remove stuff like that. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00006IBNJ/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&aaxitk=afbd25f1278c75644706e1736f3c1a91&hsa_cr_id=2601696940001&pd_rd_plhdr=t&pd_rd_r=3583b890-18e4-4dc0-b9a4-bcb5d468035b&pd_rd_w=MIudW&pd_rd_wg=...
GooGone. Your welcome.
Stickers, gels, glues, wax, crayon (damn kids)...anything that's too sticky and really doesn't hurt hard surfaces. Indispensable!

I haven't used this on a painted wall so I can't vouch for its performance on that material, but this product worked great for removing sticker residue from an old motorcycle I got, without damaging the paint job. I just made sure to use a small amount with a non abrasive rag, and only just enough pressure to get the residue off.
Hopefully it helps
2 options to remove:
Hold a hair dryer around the edges to warm up the adhesive and it will come right off. Alternatively, and if there is any adhesive left on the front, use a product called 'Goo Gone' and it will take it right off.
Very relaxing and chill.
And maybe try this to get the sticker off:
yes, old figures that were kept in boxes WILL be sticky; toxicSTRYDR linked to the best article that explains what this is and why it happens! their soak + wash method can work for some figures, too!
i've found though, that for extremely sticky Nendoroids, the best course of action is to use Goo Gone! i purchased an HMO Miku (released 2011) and found that even with soaking overnight in soapy water and scrubbing, the stickiness would not go away. so i found that Goo Gone can be used effectively! i pour some into a cup and then let each piece soak for a minute. swirl them around a little, use a qtip to make sure every nook and cranny gets hit with the Goo Gone, then gently wipe each piece clean with a paper towel after removing. i immediately dunked them into a clean water bath, and once every piece had been Goo Gone-d, I washed them all with a little dish soap and thoroughly rinsed them and left them to air dry out of direct sunlight.
this will remove even the WORST stickiness from any figure, and you'll notice they'll be much brighter looking afterwards, too! also, you can pour the Goo Gone back into the bottle and save it for later, it's still totally usable! i bought a tiny 2oz bottle years ago and never needed to buy another, though if you need to clean a lot of Nendoroids, you might want to only reuse it a few times before replacing it.
just for reference for you or anyone else reading: the only Nendoroid i DON'T recommend using this on is the Toon Zelda Nendoroid. her gold parts are known to have the gold paint rub off on its own, and Goo Gone would absolutely remove it in a heartbeat.
Goo gone works really well. Here it is in Amazon but it's a fairly common cleaning chemical, you can prolly buy it at the store.
Goo Gone. I used it on my hood recently. It's poison though so make sure to wash it off thoroughly if it gets on any surface that comes in contact with food. https://www.amazon.ca/Goo-Gone-Original-Liquid-Adhesive/dp/B00006IBNJ/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=Goo+gone&qid=1565679049&s=gateway&sr=8-3
Second this. If it's a paper sticker you can wet a paper towel or rag with the stuff and sort of let it soak into the sticker for a bit then you should be able to scrape it right off.
https://www.amazon.com/Goo-Gone-Original-Adhesive-Removers/dp/B00006IBNJ
Yes I was. That looks like a job for goo gone. It looks like some sort of black rubber or something?
Buy the brand name goo gone not the knock of stuff lol.
Is the artwork a decal or is it a part of the plastic?
Her is the link to Goo Gone on Amazon (US)
I always use a product called "Goo Gone" when removing sicker residue or anything similar that is stubborn and won't come off. Can't say whether it would be a good idea to use on a painted kit - in theory it should be fine - but it should be fine to use on plastic. You might want to wash the part (no need to drench, just a damp soapy towel) you use afterwards however, because it's oil-based and will leave a slight residue.
Hmm, yeah it's definitely something on there. And it has to be pleather to answer your question, real leather would make the sets even more expensive (just guessing). I see what you mean though, there's definitely something on there. But hey, Russ has got you covered. I hope everything works out well.
Idk how it goes, but I just thought of getting this stuff called goo-b-gone. http://www.amazon.com/Goo-Gone-oz-Removes-stickers/dp/B00006IBNJ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424381490&sr=8-1&keywords=goo-be-gone It works well for all the stuff listed, but hopefully the guys at Steelseries have got you covered!
now can we please forever stop mentioning this?

Goo Gone is the best option. Low purity (70% or less) rubbing alcohol works in a pinch. Don't use the high purity stuff as it can damage/discolor certain plastics.

PPG-3 METHYL ETHER KEROSENE (PETROLEUM), HYDROTREATED
Ive used goo gone for a while. It is an adhesive remover and it seems to work real

A product out there called "Goo Gone". Spray it on. Let it sit a bit and then whip it off. https://www.amazon.com/Goo-Gone-Original-Liquid-Adhesive/dp/B00006IBNJ
Sure thing! You know what the funny thing is? I literally went through something like this today.
:D
So on Amazon (I shop there a lot) there was an option to buy an 8 ounce of Goo Gone Adhesive remover for $7.60 and I would get it very very fast. ie if you ordered today you would get it on Monday.
https://www.amazon.com/Goo-Gone-Original-Liquid-Adhesive/dp/B00006IBNJ
And in terms of price it's 95 cents per ounce.
But I don't need that much.
But the 2 oz version (which is the perfect amount for me) takes longer to arrive. And comes in on Thursday.
It's $2.56 per fluid ounce
I'm not in a rush but I bought the smaller bottle. It costs more, it takes longer to get here. But it's the perfect size.
Noticed a similar issue with WD40. They don't sell bottles smaller than 3 ounces. Anywhere.
So I paid more and got a much smaller amount (but perfect amount) and got the 51010 Oil Super Lube instead.
It's much much much less. But it's the perfect amount:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BXOGHY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Maybe chance, but I've had much better luck with Goo Gone than that stuff. Really good for getting off number plate adhesives etc. But dearer. There is a spray, but I find that gets everyone and you go through it faster.
Plastic razors are also great if you're near paintwork. Razor holders too.
Try some of this. Should work really well.

Its funny I just cleaned it today with this. It works great!

Works like a charm - i just use ear buds to clean off the surface. Hasn't affected anything on my models.
goo gone will get rid of the adhesive left behind
I have a bunch of stuff in my Amazon wishlist, waiting for the day I visit some friends in the US.
No point in ordering any of these to Finland as the p&p alone will double or triple the price, and then there's likely taxes as well. Quick googling tells me similar products go for double the price here, if they are available at all.
Then there's a bunch of books I would love to get my hands on in the used section, most of them in the $4-12 range, but most of the time the seller won't ship to Finland and if they do, the p&p is something ridiculous like $30.
Tl,dr: ask your friend to shop around at Amazon.com and bring some inexpensive thingies with you.
Thanks for the heads up. Is this the stuff you had in mind?

if you have a thicker layer of oil gunk (from not cleaning it after a while)
ONE WORD - GOO GONE.
Vinegar did not work.. just made it look like it was working but went back to how it was.
Goo - Gone (https://www.amazon.ca/Goo-Gone-Original-Liquid-Adhesive/dp/B00006IBNJ) INSTANT,. cleaned in 30 seconds or less. then wipe away the gunk. I used soap and water after just to wash off any trace of the goo gone after.

I'm not sure what all is in it but it really does work well.
Amazon carries it.

If they are unwilling to help, you can use a product like Goo Gone to remove the adhesive residues. A paper towel with some of this will get rid of that fairly easily. https://www.amazon.com/Goo-Gone-Surface-Adhesive-Remover/dp/B00006IBNJ
Such a waste. Why not use some Goo Gone and wipe off the stickers? https://www.amazon.com/Goo-Gone-Surface-Adhesive-Remover/dp/B00006IBNJ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1502544216&sr=8-3&keywords=goo+gone
Goo-Gone should work. It's exactly what it was made for. You might need to scrape.

Goo gone is my favorite. Use a high-ish pressure hose to get everything off you can without touching it first and then follow instructions.

You shouldn't have to buy this for their mistake but Goo Gone.
Why not try a product that is specifically made to remove sticker residue?
Hello, I'm new to Gunpla but saw your post while learning about it on Reddit and Goo Gone is by far the best choice, It works amazing. Good Luck

Maybe try GooGone
http://www.amazon.com/Goo-Gone-Original-Cleaner-oz/dp/B00006IBNJ
Spray Googone (http://www.amazon.com/Goo-Gone-oz-Removes-stickers/dp/B00006IBNJ , also available at hardware stores) on it. Wait 10 minutes, wipe it off with a paper towel. I've used it to take paint off steel, it's strong stuff.
Use a blow-dryer to melt the glue under the sticker and slowly peel it off. Then, use Goo Gone to remove the glue from the window. Finally, use window cleaner to remove the Goo Gone from the window.
Try something like this. I linked to Amazon, but it is available in most home improvement/big box stores. It seems to work well removing labels and other sticky stuff - without any harm to any underlying foundation (counter tops, metal, etc.). Of course I'd test it in a not so obvious/hidden location, first, to see if it does anything to the finish of the gun (it won't). You may want to let it soak for a while, or even warm up the gun first as others have suggested.
Do not use this, however. Scary similar in appearance and name, and it will affect the finish of the barrel.
This is on a Ferrari's oil filter?
I love GOO GONE.
$4.10 on Amazon
Get yourself some Goo Gone. It's cheap and it works like a charm.
A little Goo Gone will take that right off.
This stuff has saved me many times. Worth a shot.
For removing adhesives, I use goo-gone. It's a citrus based adhesive remover and majorly useful around the house.
