Looks like they're on sale at Amazon right now for $250 with the coupon, definitely the best bang for the buck for a short commute. Mine hits about 16mph on level ground for carrying about 175 pounds total or so with bag, 12 or 13 up a mild hill. Feels sooooooo much better than the rentals, way more confident that I'm not going to get destroyed by a car, but not too fast that I'm worried about dying.
Longest I've rode it is about 7 miles, and it's been fine for 2 days of normal commute without charging. Wouldn't be the best option if you're in a really hilly area. That sub I linked has a bunch of comparisons as well if you want to step up a bit, and prices definitely seem to be coming down across the board.

I've used this one:
I like it, the brakes are good and for $300 it's a pretty good deal. The light isn't super strong but you could attach another one. It folds up and fits in my trunk, and the battery usually lasts me a day of riding around campus, but not more. I typically need to charge every day.
You can get them from from kids game shops like fantasy kids in South sharq they have some interesting peices other than that you can check out Amazon prime just pay a little more you can find better ones there and also fast shipping.

If r/scooter does include those than I am sorry for the inconvenience, I just thought that one was more moped based
