No it was not, not at all. Check out Alex Beam's Gracefully Insane for a non-fiction account of what treatment was like in the hospital where Kaysen stayed. When you said "if you want to know what they actually did" it seemed like you were denying that the movie was an accurate portrayal of what Kaysen experienced.
