Get some apple bitter spray and spray it on the cord for a week or so and the cat should stop. My cat would do the same thing and this worked wonders.
I use this stuff and its worked well so far. They will do a nibble and spit it out and never nibble again.
I do re-up the application every so often just incase lol
Its just some crazy bitter stuff (i tasted it.. BLECK) mixed with isopropyl alcohol, the alcohol evaporates and leaves this stuff on the leaves. Bottle says plant safe and I haven’t noticed any harm to my various types of plants so far.
Sounds like typical adolescent pup shenanigans! We had the same issue and ended up spraying some bitter apple spray on the leash before the walk, which made putting it in his mouth unappealing. We still use the spray to this day for if our dog gets fixated on chewing something random - corner of a rug, outdoor furniture, etc.
There are taste deterrent sprays you can get specifically for pets. I've used Grannick's Bitter Apple spray for my kittens that would chew on wires (and feet) when they were little. Spraying it onto a paper towel and then wiping that on the LR buttons to dry would work well enough, might need to be re-applied every so often until the cat catches on.
I sprayed it directly on my hands whenever I knew I was going to play or handle her. It makes your hands taste awful lol.
Unfortunately she grew to like the taste after a while but she had mostly stopped teething so she was doing better. At first she pretty much avoided biting my hands, but started to pick up again. At that point I would just hold her snoot gently closed and say a very firm "NO BITE" when she bit me.
She was very stubborn. She was well over 1 years old by the time she mostly stopped, and even now she sneaks in her nibbles. Thankfully now they're not painful or anything, just literally a nibble with the very front teeth as a "hello I see we are walking!"
I allow it because I know she won't give it up >_> She also only does it to me and my husband lol. She doesn't nibble strangers.
Frankly I have never heard of bite inhibition training working with German Shepherds. My next round in hopefully over a decade, I'm just going to go with a "no bite people" rule from the get go. She probably picked up proper bite inhibition with other dogs from daycare over time, which is probably more effective since there's better body language there to convey an "ouch!" and her to understand it's not play.
Find some cat chew toys or chew toys made for small dogs. Some cats like chewing just like dogs. Spray anything you don't want chewed with Bitter Apple Spray. It tastes nasty to animals but isn't harmful. You can find it online or at pet stores or even the pet section of big box stores.
My cat has pica, where they like to chew on strange things because of anxiety or other reasons. In her case it’s plastic bags or wrappings.
I read about apple bitters (no pun intended, ha), and it works like a charm. I just spray whatever plastic wrapping she might be inclined to chew on (bread, etc), and she wants nothing to do with it after that.
I don’t think one light spray would hurt the HomePod, but if you’re worried, maybe even just the area around it would be enough of a deterrent.
This is the same one that I bought; it says for dogs, but it’s safe for cats, too.

Works best if you spray it on something heavily you know they will want to chew, and let them put it in their mouth. Then after that, they are wary of the slightest taste of it. Even a hint of the smell can put them off.
Sleeping: our pup began sleeping through the night (10/11pm to 5am) at 10 weeks. By about 14 weeks we shifted his morning pee time to 6am. Before he only needed to go out in the middle of the night around 1am.
Crating: that's really up to you and the pup. You need to spend training sessions with the crate to get them to go in and learn its a cool place with treats. Ears plugs will be helpful.
Chewing: it depends, can be several months. By 18weeks they need to bite inhibition. Let them know when they bite you too hard. Redirect then away from inappropriate chew "toys" as much as possible. After 18 weeks heavily focus on what is and isn't appropriate. When they start teething give them all the edible chews, frozen carrots, or anything else that helps them through the process. A bitter spray might help (not all bitter sprays are created equal the first, cheap, one I bought he would lick the spray! This one he'll sniff, then leave it alone).
Free roaming: our pup is 5-months and is only allowed to freely roam the floor that we are on (he still can't do stairs) with bathroom doors shut (he likes to play with toilet paper). He might be ok in his own alone in the house while roaming free...but I'm not chancing that yet. When he gets alone time or we're gone, he is in his play pen attached to his crate.
This is the brand I've always used. It says it is for dogs but it is fine for cats also. I spray it on my house plants once a month to keep our adult cat from eating them. Been using it on cords now that we have a kitten because he loves playing with and biting them.
Green apple spray. Its supposed to be used to spray on furniture and stuff so dogs won't chew. It works like a charm. https://www.amazon.com/Grannicks-Bitter-Apple-Taste-Deterrent/dp/B001CCNG88/ref=sr_1_3?crid=QN4HRHSB79G3&keywords=bitter+apple+spray+for+dogs&qid=1553794615&s=gateway&sprefix=bitter+apple%2Caps%2C212&sr=8-3
There is a bitter apple spray I have used on plants and cords to make them taste gross to my cats. You should probably reapply it every few days but it should help. Here is a link to the one I have used before: https://www.amazon.com/Grannicks-Bitter-Apple-Taste-Deterrent/dp/B001CCNG88/ref=sr_1_5?crid=H9QFMDDY348X&dchild=1&keywords=bitter%2Bapple%2Bspray&qid=1619403842&sprefix=bitter%2B%2Caps%2C240&sr=8-5&th=1

Bitter spray helps. Like the kind you use to train dogs not to chew on the furniture. A good spray down before your next adventure will help.

Spray on a rag or paper towel and wipe it down. If the smell alone doesn't bother them the taste will!

First of all, im sorry about the accidents. I'm no expert but I believe 7 months old is still pretty much a puppy and thats what puppies, they destroy shits.

It doesn't smell like anything to us, in fact i barely notice any smell from it. Downside is that i dont think it lasts for long, so you would have to keep spraying it.
