Dan Michaels has a pretty good book called “Green” my gf got me it for my birthday a few years ago. Good read, real weed 101 + 1. Not expert level things. But basic growing techniques. Definitions and lingo in marijuana society. Has a lot of strains and descriptions with pictures but mostly just the heavy hitters like Og Kush and Premium known strains.
Edit: also the hardcover is very aesthetically pleasing. It’s worth the hardcover cost.
Hey guys, we're out in Denver to celebrate the release of our new book, GREEN: A Field Guide to Marijuana! The book features 170 strains in high definition and a primer about marijuana in general. To celebrate the release, we rented out the William Havu Gallery in downtown Denver and printed 32 museum quality nug prints. The show runs from 11 AM to 5 PM today. We hope you can stop by!

Not really a "reading" book but the pictures are gorgeous and there's lots of info.
This is my favorite coffee table book. Enjoy.
Great article! Here's the Amazon link for anybody interested.
I love that they mentioned marijuana use becoming as legitimized as wine tasting or microbrewing.
