If you can deal with a cord, I have one of these (best seller on Amazon) used 2 seasons that works fine which I'd sell for $60
Plug in electric mowers work well depending on the size of the lawn. No messing with gas and in general they just work. They can be bought from amazon for $150 https://www.amazon.com/GreenWorks-25022-Corded-20-Inch-Mower/dp/B002ZVOLXE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1489603128&sr=8-2&keywords=greenworks+mower
You do need to mow in a pattern that starts closest to the place you are plugged in at and moving out from there. So long as you do that managing the cord is no big deal. The plug in ones also tend to be really light and easy to push.
I have this one:
It's corded, so you have to buy a cord, but I like it because you don't have to mess with batteries or gas. Push a button and it starts. I've had it for 3 years, it'll cut through anything, it's a beast.
No it is a rotary. https://smile.amazon.com/Greenworks-20-Inch-Corded-Mower-25022/dp/B002ZVOLXE/ref=sr_1_5?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1540940031&sr=1-5&keywords=electric+mower
Works really well, I don't know if I have seen an electric reel mower.
I bought this it isn't gas, but I freaking love it. I'm using it to cut 2-3ft tall grass/weeds and it plows through it like a champ. Zero issues, hell of a lot quieter than gas, really freaking love this thing.
Only down sides - it doesn't have a power assist, so it is getting pushed purely by you. I think they make a model with power assist but it was a tad out of my price range, since your range is twice mine I think you'll be fine.
Dealing with a cord is annoying and the cord is a bit pricey. $50 for a 100ft cord. Once I got used to the cord it wasn't bad, but it is still something to think about when you're mowing.
I have a huge yard (1.5 acres of grass) and a whole host of 2 and 4 stroke small engine and mid engine tools. my parents have a yard your size. I bought them this because it was the highest rated on amazon and evrything at home depot looked like gimmicky junk. Long story short, its a beast. It can tear through tall wet grass like a champ and electric motors have some serious torque. if you get one, make sure you get a heavy duty extension cord, as you will lose a lot of amperage over 100' with a 14 gauge cheapo cord (i have used both and it is a seriously noticeable difference) http://www.amazon.com/GreenWorks-25022-Corded-20-Inch-Mower/dp/B002ZVOLXE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1430180454&sr=8-1&keywords=electric+lawn+mower I borrow their sometimes when i have really high grass to go through
I bought the one below last year. I've used gas lawnmowers my whole life but my current house didn't have a garage or shed and I didn't want to have to store gasoline in the house. The gas ones are also notably heavier and lugging it up from the basement every week was going to be a problem as well. Bought the Greenworks corded one and, honestly, I'm delighted. Cheap, lightweight, powerful, maneuvers easily, super easy to run. I would have liked to go cordless, but I struggled to find one that seemed reliable and powerful enough.
I'm swapping out my parkway grass for clover this year so I hopefully won't have to get the cord around the parkway trees this year.
Good luck in your search and sorry about not knowing how to link on mobile!

If you've got 160 bucks and a long extension cord, you can get yourself a brand new one.

I used to own this one, and it does what you're looking for.
The lawn mower does have a grass catcher bag. But some of the cut grass came out from Side Discharge Chute and then left on the pave road. This is the mower I am using (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002ZVOLXE). I want to clean up the grass debris on the road, but don't know what is the best tool to use. So sad.
I see no problem with that...

> Lawnmowers emit tons of greenhouse gases
It's true, two-stroke engines put out a shocking amount of pollution, about 5% of air polution is just from gas mowers.
There's no good reason people should still be using gas mowers in 2015. Get an electric one (either corded or cordless). They're inexpensive, quiet, put out zero pollution, you don't have to go out and buy gas, and you don't have the maintenance issues of dealing with a gas engine.
One of the best things we ever bought. We got a corded one, works great and the cord isn't as much an issue as you would think. But you can also get a cordless one.
I'm on a 1/3 acre lot and my house is 1,400 Sq ft. I use a corded electric mower and it isn't convenient thing in the world, but I've gotten used to it. It's super light weight and I found a cutting pattern that helps me not get too tangled up. It's not super powerful and if the grass is a bit longer than normal, it can get bogged down. I have cut through the cord a couple times now, so that's fun. I don't regret the purchase though, not having to deal with gas or aging batteries is a huge, huge plus for me. I think I have this model and I really like the build of it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002ZVOLXE/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_zGSuvb0GF8RJ3
