Nothing close since CK's closed over a decade ago.
They made grilled pizza; very thin crust, fresh (often grilled) toppings - best pizza I've ever had. It isn't quite the same as New Haven pizza but it is a very thin crisp crust.
The owner of that Pizza place wrote a book on grilling pizza that's worth checking out if you want to try to make something similar at home.
follow up: was answering a question from someone else who also asked about why I preferred cast iron skillets for cooking pizza and I ran across the link below; Basically I got the idea of using preheated cast iron skillets from baking cornbread; using a typical baking dish is 'fine' but you will end up with a more 'cake like' soft moist crust at the bottom - but when you preheat a cast iron skillet and pour the cornbread mix into that preheated pan it instantly starts to 'fry' and results in a nice crispy crust after baking - the end results are quite dramatic.
Generally I am not a big fan of "pizza hut" but I had (for a while) been trying to replicate the crispy deep dish crust they used to have (I assume something changed in the last 5 years or so because the crust just isn't the same lately) - regardless I really liked that crust (although their toppings were not as fresh or imaginative as I would like. I noticed that they used a specific type of pan (I don't think it was cast iron but it was a heavier metal and it appeared that they did preheat it) -
I have also experimented with 'grilled pizza' - which is also quite amazing for thin crust pizza. I discovered that method of cooking pizza from "CK's Grilled Pizza" over a decade ago (now out of business) - the owner of that place won multiple national 'best pizza' competitions and has appeared in several shows and published a book on his technique as well
still sad CK's grilled pizza is closed. They were the best in the world. thin crust/grilled crispy with grilled toppings imaginative combinations;
