Maybe consider 220/240v instead of 210? Just a thought.
Anyways I used to have a cheap MUSTART L2 charger that died after 18 months so I recently shopped around for something new and ended up purchasing the Basic GRIZZL-E . No apps or Smart Features. You an also get a version that can be hardwired so no plug needed. This was based on reviews of others I have recently read. Made in Canada. Seems to be a solid item. I would be wary of any cheaper no-name L2 chargers made in China these days.
You probably don't need to carry a 240V cable with you. You don't even really need the 120V cable, but it's nice to have that in the car sometimes for special occasions. Almost all places you charge a car in public will have the cord there for you.
That said - if you want a 240V EVSE to leave in your home permanently, I'd recommend something like the GRIZZL-E EVSE shown here: https://www.amazon.com/Grizzl-Level-EV-Charger-GR1-14-24-Premium/dp/B082LMVSLY It is the cheapest cable on Amazon that is UL certified (some cheaper cables claim they are, but they are not fully certified), it is thick and built well so I have no safety or quality concerns with it. It has served me well for my Bolt. You can get fancier cables but you really don't need them.
I thought a home charging setup required something like this too?
Grizzl-E Level 2 EV Charger, 16/24/32/40 Amp, NEMA 14-50 Plug/06-50 Plug, 24 feet Premium Cable, Indoor/Outdoor Car Charging Station, Classic/Avalanche/Extreme (Classic 14-24-PB)

YES.
Technically, the charger is inside the car. The Electrify America "charger" is just supplying electricity to the charger under the hood, under the control of the charger, which decides how much power to ask for.
So, YES, you have everything you need to go directly onto a roadtrip, apart from installing the A Better Route Planner app on your phone.
Same thing for the Level 1 charger that comes with the car: it's just supplying 120V.
Same thing for the Level 2 (220V 7kW) charger in the parking lot of your hotel (possibly). Just plug it in to the charging port.
For Level 2 charging at home, you need what's technically called a Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) device. This is the thing that plugs into the 240V outlet in your garage / driveway, and responds to instructions from your charger to switch on and off the juice. Like this Grizzl E:
https://www.amazon.com/Grizzl-Level-EV-Charger-GR1-14-24-Premium/dp/B082LMVSLY
But again, the charger is inside the car. You just need the electricity.
I've been told these are reliable and good but I haven't tried yet. Still waiting for my damn car
I heard Grizzly is really good.
I wonder how it's comparable to charge point
The Nissan Leaf comes with a very good EVSE. But the best unit for the money is the Grizzl-e. https://www.amazon.com/Grizzl-Level-EV-Charger-GR1-14-24-Premium/dp/B082LMVSLY/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=2RQYH3MEQH0J2&keywords=grizzl-e+level+2+ev+charger%2C+16%2F24%2F32%2F40+amp&qid=1645932650&sprefix=Grizzl-e+%2Caps%2C92&sr=8-3
Probably quite a while. I had an 50A (or thereabouts) dryer plug installed in my garage, for a Level 2 charger. The 45e will only pull a max of 16A, but I wanted to future-proof, just in case I ever bought a full EV.
That was $100, and then the charger was another $400. I bought this one.. So, all-in, it was about $600 for a Level 2 charger.
With the Level 2, it takes 5-6 hours, because BMW only puts a 3.6 kW charger on its PHEVs. With Level 1 (which is what the standard charger is), I imagine it would take all day to charge
This is a popular option on Amazon, you can change the amperage depending on your setup at home.
Grizzl-E Level 2 EV Charger, 16/24/32/40 Amp, NEMA 14-50 Plug/06-50 Plug, 24 feet Premium/Regular Cable, Indoor/Outdoor Car Charging Station, Classic/Avalanche/Extreme (Classic-14-24-Premium) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082LMVSLY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_YXKFE4QGEAGBSM5P7AVG
Yeah I just got mine on Friday, and loving it! Did they offer you the free install for the 240v outlet? It was either that or 750 in charging tokens, at least thats is the promo here in Canada. I am doing that and then going to pick up a charging box. I live in the country though and not a lot of public chargers close to home. This is the box I was lookong at here in Canada:
Great for all temps and weather!
9.6kW, comes with 14-50 plug. Specs don't really justify the price.
Grizzl-E for me (price + solid reviews)
Is it this one per chance?
The Grizzl-E Level 2 EV Charger, 16/24/32/40 amp, NEMA 14-50 Plug, 24 Feet Premium Cable seems like a top notch charger:
It will charge up to 9.6 kW @ 40A and from all accounts a no-nonsense charger. If you level one charge until Black Friday it will probably be reduced by 150 bucks.
If you want to gamble some more and live in Ontario you can wait for the election and possibly get a EVSE rebate from the liberal government for $1500. Then you can get a ChargePoint Home Flex, 16 to 50 Amp, 240V, Level 2 WiFi EVSE. Important for us that it plugs in so we can take it with us when we sell the house (So does the Grizzl-E).
It will go up to 12 kW @ 50A whilch is more than enough for Ioniq 5's built in charger which tops out at 10.3 or 11 kW... I don't recall exactly.
Well, the trick is to get one that is "UL Certified" and most of the portable ones on Amazon are not UL certified. I've heard tales of them melting the plug into the socket of the car, requiring expensive repairs.
What I did was buy a older used designed-to-be-wall-mounted Aeroenvironment Level 2 charger (like this one) off of Craigslist and I carry that with me when needed. It's not small, but it's small enough, and I trust it not to melt or start a fire or ???
There are plenty of new UL Listed Level 2 chargers that are designed to be wall mounted on Amazon that might work from the likes of Juicebox, Chargepoint, etc. This one, from Grizzle says it's UL Listed and isn't particularly large or expensive.
Starting with the UMC But going to purchase this as the permanent solution: Grizzl-E Level 2 EV Charger, 16/24/32/40 Amp, Indoor/Outdoor Car Charging Station (NEMA 14-50 Plug, 24 Feet Premium Cable) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082LMVSLY

I'm pretty sure that's what you want
Believe it was the version of Amazon with the longer cord and for colder weather.
$440 it came to -
