I've had one of these on my bigger tropicals the last couple months and the love it! I got two more for this. It comes already detached from the stand, which was helpful for this. There is a handle on the body of the light itself that I removed and replaced with corner braces so that it would be more fit to the top. 🙂
One of them is this one: Grow Light with Stand, LBW Full Spectrum 150W LED Floor Plant Light for Indoor Plants, with On/Off Switch, Flexible Gooseneck, Adjustable Tripod Stand 15-47 inches https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08B557W5D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_0Zs4FbDRXDHSH
Is it possible for me to grow a Jalapeño plant in a basement?
I live in my friends’ basement and really want to grow a jalapeño plant because we eat a lot of them. My friends have a toddler and dogs so I don’t really want to inconvenience them with a big hot pepper plant upstairs/outside. What are the chances that I’ll have good luck with a grow lamp off of Amazon. I also don’t want to spike their electricity bill, I found this one because I’m not looking to invest a ton, just want the one plant. There’s a small half window in the basement and just overhead fluorescents. The basement is around 60F in the winter, but I’m thinking it will be around 70F in the summer. If jalapeños won’t work, would cherry tomatoes be viable?
Thank you for your help!
One more time lol, what about this one? I found 2500 lumens grow light with stand

Would this be good? [Amazon Link]
Its just about what you say, but not exact. I imagine if I got the two-headed version it could be enough?
I can’t personally speak to the quality yet because I just had it, and I have a hard time trusting the qualify at this price, but on a previous post OP had I asked the same question and was sent the link to this light: https://www.amazon.com/LBW-Spectrum-Flexible-Gooseneck-Adjustable/dp/B08B557W5D/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=34SAPP2REH6ZH&keywords=grow+light+150w&qid=1640490885&sprefix=grow+light+150%2Caps%2C70&sr=8-5
Just using a generic grow light from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/LBW-Spectrum-Flexible-Gooseneck-Adjustable/dp/B08B557W5D/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=34SAPP2REH6ZH&keywords=grow+light+150w&qid=1640490885&sprefix=grow+light+150%2Caps%2C70&sr=8-5
Grown in a east facing window. Plant has been in “hot” soil since its second set of leaves. (FFOF) plus all of the OMRI liquid goodies from them.
I would say so sadly. They really like close to full sun if possible, more sun = more fenestrations! I'll link one of the LEDs I got on Amazon that seems to work well for my larger plants https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08B557W5D/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_8PR6HRXGSKDBJ3Q4WJ46?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Currently using this one

Had it farther away but don't feel much heat off it so thought maybe it was underpowered.
I've got a stronger one coming tomorrow with veg/bloom switches that'll go in my grow tent
You would need full spectrum. Something like this would be convenient for your situation I think!

There’s a lot of info out there about wattage and stuff that goes a lot over my head but I think as long as you’re differentiating that it’s full spectrum and make sure it’s a white light and not one of the purple ones (bright, headachey, annoying and better for hydroponics anyway).
Can’t answer your question about the light color but my succs seem to be responding well to this light

I've only had it for a couple weeks so the jury's still out on how much it helps

Just asking for some info but would this be better? https://www.amazon.com/LBW-Spectrum-Flexible-Gooseneck-Adjustable/dp/B08B557W5D/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 It has more wattage for 1/2 the price. I've read lots of conflicting things about these lights like how it's really only 36 watts which is weird. I don't know anything about power/lighting so I really have no idea.
