It didn't bloom but I only recently swapped to these lights halfway through the winter. It is about 1 metre away from a Southwest window and gets lots of indirect light too.
Thanks! Here's what I did differently:
Swap Grow Lights - I was originally using a Sansi 40W non-full spectrum bulb from Amazon that was hung from the ceiling. Light coverage wasn't that great as it only hit the top of the tree. It started dropping a small number of leaves in November so I switched to the LED full-spectrum grow light with multiple arms you see in the picture. It provides way better light coverage to the whole tree which I found important to keep the lower leaves from turning yellow and dropping. After using this grow light the tree immediately perked up and starting shooting out new growth without using any fertilizer. This is the grow light I purchased: Grow Lights with Stand, Aokrean 80 LED Floor LED Grow Light with Stand Tripod Adjustable, Sunlike Full Spectrum Plant Light for Indoor Tall & Large Plants, 4/8/12H Timer, 10 Dimmable Levels: Amazon.ca: Patio, Lawn & Garden
Raise container off the floor - This I think helped a lot. My floor is really cold and by raising the container the roots were kept a couple degrees warmer than they would be on the floor.
Fast draining soil - I added a ton of perlite to my soil mix to make sure that the tree doesn't sit in water over the winter. You can literally hear the water draining through the soil. This is a plus in the winter but it requires more attention in the summer because if the container is in full sun, the soil dries out completely in a 2-3 days.
Humidity - I did have a humidifier running near the tree for a little bit during the winter but it took a lot of effort to fill it again every day so I really didn't have it going very often. The humidity in my house was around 30% for most of the winter.
I think the most important thing though for me was just keeping the roots warm as I was using a grow light. I've heard it's better to not use a grow light if the roots will be cold during the winter. I also didn't use any fertilizer during the winter but got a bit ahead of myself and fertilized a bit last week. Hope that helps, good luck!
