Thank you!! Yes IN THE PLANTER! I have 2 of these and both plants they are in are flourishing! It has a telescoping rod so it can move pretty far up and down. Works great! Built in timer. And I just now bought another one because of the amazon deal when I looked it up for you! 😆 Umbrella Grow Light
I've had this in my cart forever, it's so cute and simple. But idk if that is enough for moonstones. My succ get leggy in the winter even with pretty strong grow light. I have to use a few to keep them happy.
Seems like there's a couple more yellow leaves every time I go in. I bought this little cheap light and it doesn't appear to be helping at all. My office door stays closed and is literally pitch black in there if I'm not in.

I'd go with herbs! I love all the things your secret santa loves, and I'd be thrilled to get some herbs! They're kind of hard to start from seeds, so the plants are better if you can find them.

In my small flat, I only have space for a very small grow light. I'm thinking this one here would fit. Would this be enough for a low-light bonsai? Can I use just the white spectrum bulb it comes with on an 18hr-on/6hr-off cycle? What low-light bonsais might you recommend if I had such a setup? Might the Hawaiian Umbrella Bonsai work under these conditions?

- Currently, the plan is to hang her up in an east-facing window (the best light choice I have). I also want to buy her a grow light for when there's not much light in the day (it rains a lot and is gloomy), etc. Zone 9 -- North FL. - How long should I treat it for spider mites if that is damage, and will it hurt to wipe it down with the alcohol solution if it doesn't actually have spider mites?
- Can I occasionally place her in the bathroom when I shower to raise her humidity (I have an inkling my apartment is probably relatively dry), or should I avoid this due to overwatering? If I can, how frequently might this be suggested?
- Lastly, I want to repot her into something prettier (with a drainage hole, of course). Since I JUST got her a day ago, how long should I wait to avoid stressing her out?
There is so much to learn, and I have been trying to research everything. It gets a little overwhelming how much there is to learn (like, WOW), so I'm really open to any advice! Thanks in advance!

I just commented on a similar post a few minutes ago. These were recommended and I like them, too.
I've only had mine for 6 months and another poster told me that they're confused for about a year after coming out of the greenhouse when I posted that mine was flowering in October. I have mine in a north-facing window (in the N. hemisphere), but I have an extra grow light because light is what makes the plant curl. I've had a few crispy leaves, but they're older - and I think yours are, too - and I just pull them off. And my leaves have been floppy at times, but somehow make themselves upright again. It seems like you're doing everything right!
Is it a little guy? I have this and it's kinda cute but I'm not sure it'll work on a tall boy.

Maybe something with bendy arms on a timer if it's taller? It's not ideal, but for a low-light plant where the options are not-ideal lights vs no light, it'll work!
