Cleanser: Hada Labo Foaming Cleanser Gentle, Pump type so super easy. My fav cleanser.
Toner: Hada Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Premium Lotion (Gold Bottle, clear liquid)
Moisturizer: Same Gold Bottle, but white liquid. As you know, toners are sometimes called lotion here, so be careful not to double buy.
SPF: Not sure about any moisturizer with SPF, but Japanese sunscreen is pretty great, so you can't really go wrong. Biore, Nivea, Skin Aqua are all great, and don't feel thick and gunky like other sunscreens.
That's my routine, and the same products for both AM/PM. For anti aging, discoloration, etc, you might wanna try essences like Vitamin C, I know Melano CC is great.
Does your skin feel “tight” after cleansing? I know it says sensitive skin, but that brand of foaming facial cleanser can be pretty stripping. If your skin feels tight/squeaky/itchy after cleansing, then I would definitely also recommend a more gentle cleanser (probably a non-foaming one, though more gentle foaming ones also exist). Cetaphil makes a gentle non foaming cleanser for dry skin that a lot of people use as a starting recommendation. If you REALLY like foam, then this Hada Labo one is one I have used and can personally vouch for. It’s really popular on some of the Asian Beauty skincare subs.
I was interested in the HL face wash, but $14 (used, incl shipping) is a lot considering it's $9.98 (new, incl shipping) on amazon. Even if someone is in NYC, amazon is still cheaper.
On a side note for any New Yorkers and those visiting New York City...
I just heard about Teso Life from a post yesterday on this subreddit, and I checked it out today. It’s like a mini Mitsuwa marketplace!! Has all things Japanese — skincare, foods, etc.
Price wise, at least for Hada Labo products, there is a $1~$2 markup. I think this is fair considering NYC rent, and how shipping from Japan takes forever and usually costs money.
For example, Amazon Cleansing Foam Price , is $10. And it’s $11.99 in store.
Yeah... those are my two cents for anyone curious.
If you’re open to using Asian skincare products, they have tons of gentle/low ph ones! I use the Hada Labo Foaming Cleanser which I buy off Amazon UK https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01CE5P580/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_LnKgDbPRZGDBE you can also head over to r/AsianBeauty and search for low ph cleansers if you’re interested!
Yeah, definitely echoing the "please use warm water and an appropriate amount of salt" crew. It's going to be the best for pretty much any type of piercing.
If you must soap, you can find unscented Dr. Bronners at Loft and similar places, or something like hada labo foaming face wash, which would be easy to gently puff onto the site without as much agitation as some other soaps.
So starting out you would use the oil cleanser and your current CeraVe cleanser both for a couple weeks. The Hada Labo face wash is only if you want to replace your CeraVe eventually! Oil cleanser is your first cleanser, “normal” cleanser is your second cleanser.
This is the link to the Hada Labo Cleanser if you do decide you’d like to replace your CeraVe. Here you go!
Thank you so much taking your time to help me out, I deeply appreciated it. I started seeing a girl and this is the very first time in my life that I want to look a bit better.
For my second cleanser maybe I'll get the Hada Labo bubble foaming cleanser since it is one of the recommended cleanser. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01CE5P580/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_GNADAX3PJCYTP18A9Q02
The only thing that's worked for me is to keep use chemical exfoliators a couple of times a week (I've had success with azaleic acid and am currently doing pretty well with mandelic acid) in tandem with this foaming cleanser, and spot treating the bad zits with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid creams. I'd also recommend avoiding heavier moisturizers. Pre-T, I was having success using oils (like rose hip) as a moisturizer, and didn't think to change that up post-T; that was a mistake lol.
I haven't tried EVERYTHING, mind you, and made a decision to hold off on trying any more "medical" based treatments, like accutane. I still have acne after just over a year on T. But it's calmed down quite a bit, and now I can recognize when I have flare-ups rather than just feeling like I'm in a perpetual flare-up.
Is this Hada Labo Gokujyn cleanser from amazon Legit?
THX
Yeah, it's not that foamy. It is kind of like dish soap, as you described. If you want foam, this is an excellent and truly foamy cleanser.
I have tried a few Sebamed things and like them, but haven't tried the dry skin facial cleanser. Since you are in Singapore, you might have access to Japanese products. I really like Hada Labo cleansing foam which has a pH of 5.5. It might not be great for dry skin, since it is a foam cleanser, but I didn't find it drying. You might to check out /r/Asianbeauty for Asia specific products, they will have a ton of recommendations!
I'm having a difficult time figuring out if this is the Hada Labo low pH foaming cleanser this sub likes. Wasn't sure if it's a different product or just different packaging..
I have oily skin, but the oiliness decreased DRAMATICALLY once I (a) stopped using strong, stripping cleansers and (b) addressed some underlying dehydration issues.
First, paradoxically, you've got to stop drying your face out. The second ingredient in that toning lotion is alcohol - as a start, I'd stop using that. The second ingredient in that cleanser is sodium laureth sulphate - I'd also replace that with something much gentler, like Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, or my favourite, Hada-Labo Cleansing Foam.
You've got to get some hyaluronic acid and ceramides into your skin to help repair your moisture barrier. For me, the key to repairing my oily/dehydrated skin has been using multiple light watery hydrating layers - this is where Asian products really are better. For hyaluronic acid, you could try Hadalabo Light Lotion. This is basically an extremely light hyaluronic acid serum that almost looks like water, that you pat into your face after cleansing. You could also try layering that with Cerave Lotion at night to get some ceramides into your poor skin.
For me, the best mattifying primer is my sunscreen, Biore Perfect Milk, but this does leave a slight white cast so is not suitable for deeper skin tones.
So, TL:DR, your drying cleanser and toner are doing you no favours. Invest in light, watery hydrating layers to repair your moisture barrier. And pls use sunscreen!
A lot of people are recommending acne products, which is great, but sometimes, too much toner and acne products can actually make things worse. So, for example, you are applying toner whenever you’re feeling greasy, but that could potentially be stripping your skin of important nutrients and oils and then causing your skin to produce excess sebum as a result.

I’ve done a lot of research into skincare over the past few years, and I’ve found a routine that really works for me. It involves double cleansing, which means using an oil cleanser before using a gentle cleanser. That sounds counterintuitive, but it has SAVED MY SKIN from acne. The reason is that inside your pores is a buildup of sebum and oils, and oil and water don’t mix. So, when you wash your face with a regular water based cleanser, it can’t “bond” with the oil in your pores to flush it out. So, you clean the top of the pore but can’t properly get in there to flush out the oils. So when you use acne medications, they can help with that oil, but it’s not properly cleaning out your pore the way it would with an oil cleanser.

If you use an oil cleanser, you apply it on dry skin, and the oil bonds with the oil in your pores, and then when you rinse, it can actually properly flush the pore out, so that when you then use your gentle cleanser afterwards, you’re actually properly cleaning the pore out. Then, you have a basic, clean base you can add targeted products to. I only oil cleanse at night, but it has legit changed my skin. I had SUCH bad acne, and now my skin is clearer than it’s ever been. This is my routine. It seems like a lot, but it’s effective and that’s all I care about.
AM:
Hada Labo Moisturizing Foaming Cleanser (moisturizing might seem counterintuitive for oily skin, but it helps mitigate the stripping effects of acne fighting ingredients)
Yuja Niacin (this is a niacinamide serum, it lasts forever and works wonders. It fights acne/clears & brightens skin, and also helps reduce redness and scarring from past acne)
Green Tea Calming Serum (I added this recently and it has really made my skin next level - if you have sensitive skin, though, this is probably a good help for you because it removes redness and irritation, which is essential when using strong acne fighting ingredients)
Naturie Skin Conditioning Gel (this is a gel, water based moisturizer. You can layer it on if your skin is feeling dry, but one layer is enough for me. Water based gel moisturizers are best for oily skin because they will not clog your pores or create more acne. They’re lightweight.)
PM:
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil (must be done on COMPLETELY DRY FACE!)
Hada Labo Moisturizing Foaming Cleanser (same as AM)
Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Salicylic Acid (This is the real acne fighter right here. If your skin is sensitive, you might only be able to use it once or twice a week to start, but it does not fuck around and WILL clear out your pores and keep you acne free.)
Green Tea Calming Serum (same as AM)
Naturie Skin Conditioning Gel (same as AM)

This is just my routine. It might seem like a lot, but it’s really not that much, just cleanse, active ingredient to fight problems, calm/soothe, moisturize. I cannot recommend double cleansing enough. It has seriously transformed my acne ridden oily mess of a face into skin that glows and rarely gets pimples (knock on wood). This might seem overwhelming, but it WORKS!!

If you’re interested in trying this routine, I’d recommend trying out the oil cleanse/foaming cleanse combo first for a while and see how that works (it’s important for the non-oil cleanser to be gentle, so I recommend trying the one I listed or researching other good cleanser for double cleanses), then adding in maybe the salicylic after a week or two of the cleanser combo going well, then adding the niacinamide after a week or two of the salicylic going well. If you change all your products at once and your skin doesn’t like it, you won’t be able to pinpoint the problem.
Hope that helps. I’m happy to answer questions if you have them.
Why can't you just buy this product on Amazon US?
https://www.amazon.com/Hada-Labo-Gokujyn-Hyaluronic-Cleansing/dp/B01CE5P580/
I would pick the popular Hada Labo Gokujun cleanser (spelled wrong as Gokujyn on Amazon) instead, as it has a cleaner ingredients list and slightly lower pH than the Tokyo cleanser. Plus it comes in an awesome foaming pump bottle. If you want to, you could also opt for the Hada Labo premium version instead of regular Gokujun lotion, as it has 5 types of hyaluronic acid is much thicker and more moisturizing, but that is up to you
Jolse is generally my goto for getting hold of Korean skincare, they have free shipping if you don't mind a slightly longer wait (though I've found things arrive in about 2 weeks) http://jolse.com/product/cosrx-low-ph-good-morning-gel-cleanser-150ml/6250/?cate_no=371&display_group=1
I also like the hado-labo foaming facial cleanser which is Japanese, but can easily be brought from amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hada-Labo-Gokujyn-Hyaluronic-Cleansing/dp/B01CE5P580/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1512656452&sr=8-1&keywords=hada+labo+rohto+gokujyn+hyaluronic+acid+cleansing+foam
The Simple brand face washes are pretty good. There’s a foaming one, gel, and a hydrating one. It’s not too expensive and you can find them in drugstores. I used the gel for a long time and it was great!
Now I use the Hada Labo Gokujyn Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Foam and I get it on amazon. It’s nice, gentle, and takes away my oil without me feeling stripped. It’s $10 and one bottle seems small but it lasts me around two months.
Hi everyone! I'm very new to AB and after reading through many guides and articles, I created my first routine, and it's made up of the basics (since you guys said to limit your haul to 4-5 items), I have these items in my amazon cart ready to go, but I wanted to get a second opinion!
Skin Type: Dry/Acne-Prone | Country/Climate I'm in: Seattle - Rainy and Cold | Top Skin Concern: PIH/Acne

PM
I'm mostly curious about the BENTON serum. I've heard that it's best to only use it once (at night), but some blogs have you using them in the morning as well. Also, with the BENTON serum would I have to wait 20 minutes before moving on to emulsion? Any other comments/criticisms would be appreciated! Thank you AB!
I'm sorry to hear you had a reaction to the Hada Labo Gokujyun Foaming Face Wash - I found it drying as well, but didn't have that same reaction. I did recently have a reaction to the Biore UV Watery Essence sunscreen (I'm thinking maybe it was the citrus extracts?), and it took me about 3-4 days to get back to normal-ish and about a week to 10 days to fully recover. I went super boring on my recovery routine: - La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser (non-foaming, pH 5.5) - Hada Labo Gokujyn Hyaluronic Acid Lotion (both applied directly to skin and the cotton square masking technique, pH 5.5) - Sebamed Clear Face Care Gel (pH 5.5) - Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream (pH 5.5) - Vaseline as an occlusive at night - No actives and no sunscreen (partially because I was traumatized by sunscreen and unsure of what gave me the reaction, and partially because I didn't think my skin could handle double cleansing to remove the sunscreen if I wore it)
It can and will get better!
I recently went through and re-pH-tested a bunch of my products, after reading Snow's blog post on the disappointment and betrayal of product reformulation, and I got the same result that you did on the Hada Labo Gokujyun Foaming Face Wash! pH = 7, with or without water mixed in (my tap water has a pH of 7)! I'll have to go home and check the expiration date/location of manufacture, but I ordered my Hada Labo Foaming Face Wash on Amazon on October 18, 2017 and received it on October 24, 2017.
When/where did you buy yours? I posted about this in the Daily Help Thread on November 15, 2017, hoping to see if anyone else had the same experience as me. I wonder if there are more of us...
If it’s this one, I have been eying it up. It’s in my amazon cart and I am ordering it this coming payday 😜
I get mine through Amazon, but it depends where you are.
I didn't jump onto the skincare & makeup train until my early 30's -- thankfully, because I burn in 0.5 sec, I have stayed out of the sunlight as much as possible, so I have managed to keep a somewhat youthful appearance (at least, I hope LOL).
When I started, I was on a tight budget - I was back at University, so trying to do everything on a student budget was painful, but I managed. I needed a routine that would hit all the right notes, but not be so time-consuming and complex that I wouldn't keep it up; it also needed to be cheap enough so that I would not have to go broke every time I needed to replace a product.
Morning:
Hada Labo Gokujyun foaming facewash with hyaluronic acid - gentle, and has been awesome at preventing breakouts for me <3
SeoulCeuticals Vitamin C serum - This is really nice and light! I put it on before any moisturizers so it can soak in to my skin rather than sitting on top of a lotion going HAY GUUUUURL. CeraVe also has a nice vitamin C serum from what some friends have mentioned.
Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream - plays really well with make-up, as does the sunscreen below. No pilling etc. when layered under foundation/powders. A little goes a long way! - This and the sunscreen are great for both face/eye/and neck <3
Sunscreen - does not leave a white cast like some sunscreens can; it's VERY light and soaks into the skin quite quickly without leaving you feel "sticky" and gross.

Evening:
Kose Softymo - I use this to remove my makeup & cleanse at the end of a long day; 2 pumps onto dry skin; massage it in for a minute, then wet your hands and massage again - you'll see it get white-ish on your skin; rinse a bit, you won't be able to clear it all with just water, so follow with the foaming cleanser from the morning routine <3
ElizaVecca retinol sleeping pack - This is a heavy moisturizer but a little goes a long way! Pop this on last thing at night and wash it off in the morning when you do AM skincare <3
Recommended Routine:
-Cleanse with either a gentle foaming cleanser (Recommendation: https://www.amazon.com/Hada-Labo-Gokujyn-Hyaluronic-Cleansing/dp/B01CE5P580) or something with active ingredients if your skin is breaking out (Recommendation: https://www.amazon.com/Roche-Posay-Effaclar-Medicated-Acne-Cleanser/dp/B00LO1DNXU/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=lrp+cleanser&qid=1632236643&s=beauty&sr=1-8)
-Dry your skin well and apply lactic acid to skin starting once per week, then 2-3x per week, possibly up to ever day if your skin can tolerate it. Limit paula's choice to once a week, as it is very harsh. YOU MUST USE SPF DURING THE DAY WITH ANY SORT OF CHEMICAL EXFOLIANT. Otherwise the excessive sun damage will undo any benefits of the exfoliant.
-Make skin damp again (or leave damp when not using acids) and apply niacinamide and any other serums.
-Apply moisturizer over top with skin still damp (Recommendation: https://www.amazon.com/Moisturizing-Moisturizer-Nourishing-Dermatologist-Recommended/dp/B086LK197J/ref=sr_1_5?crid=33WPHX26CFJSP&dchild=1&keywords=cetaphil+moisturizer&qid=1632236346&s=beauty&sprefix=ceta%2Cbeauty%2C174&sr=1-5) There are plenty of other, better recommendations on this subreddit.
-Rinse skin with water
-Apply niacinamide and moisturizer on damp skin
-Apply SPF as last step (Recommended SPF that doesn't feel like sunscreen: https://www.amazon.com/NIVEA-Sun-Super-Water-Gel/dp/B00BALO6X0/ref=pd_bxgy_img_1/144-6540775-8074412?pd_rd_w=JhdXE&pf_rd_p=c64372fa-c41c-422e-990d-9e034f73989b&pf_rd_r=0MR1YXYCHW42V433BZ4J&pd_rd_r=e079e8c0-7482-4ba6-936c-0b5492b99a93&pd_rd_wg=9y776&pd_rd_i=B00BALO6X0&psc=1)
From there you can add things like a vitamin c serum in the AM or other serums that suit your needs.
This is my go to for a foaming, second cleanse cleanser: https://www.amazon.com/Hada-Labo-Gokujyn-Hyaluronic-Cleansing/dp/B01CE5P580
Not drying at all and very gentle.
I agree with the other poster, go slow and gentle. Cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen. If you start wearing sunscreen daily at your age, your skin will be beautiful even at my age (an ancient 42 😀) I wish I could go back in time and tell my young self to wear sunscreen and stay out of tanning booths!
Here are the products I would highly recommend. I have very sensitive skin and these never caused me any problems plus they work well and are cheap.
Cleanser Hada Labo Gokujyun foaming cleanser
Super mild, not drying, a great cleanser.
Moisturizer Bonajour Green Tea water bomb moisturizer
Light, hydrating, spreads easily and doesn't leave you shiny
Sunscreen Nivea Super Sun Water Gel
Dries super quick and doesn't feel like you are wearing sunscreen. Love it!
In the morning you probably can get away with just water to wash your face. Then moisturizer and sunscreen. In the evening, wash with the cleanser, then moisturizer.
After you get this simple routine down have fun with sheet masks! Put them on after you wash your face before moisturizer. What kind of mask really doesn't matter, masks don't do much other than hydrate, so get cheap ones and have a spa night!
Generally this means your skin is dehydrated, and it sucks the water out of the product and makes it look patchy and dry. I was oily and dehydrated, and had the same issue! I didn’t want to add moisture to my oily skin, and round and round went the problem. Oily skin is a skin type that overproduced oil, yet dehydrated skin is a skin condition, meaning your skin needs more water. They often go hand in hand, as your skin tries to produce more oil to make up for the lake of water. (Skin cannot produce water, only oil.) If you can get your dehydration under control, it will help everything. Use a gentle cleanser, add an essence before your moisturizer- YES, moisturizer on oily skin! Very quickly you will see amazing changes! I suggest K beauty products, gentle, more effective by far and well priced: For your skin type: Love this Cleanser: Hada Labo Rohto Gokujyn... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CE5P580?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
My favorite Essence: PYUNKANG YUL Facial Essence Toner 6.8 Fl. Oz- Face Moisturizer Skin Care Korean Toner for Dry and Combination Skin Types - Astringent for Face Certified as a Zero-Irritation - Condensed Texture https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZZK3YJY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_C6NMFB5DZHADYTH7H880?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Beautiful, no oil and lots of moisture Moisturizer: Joseon Beauty of Joseon Dynasty... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M4GQO8W?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Sunscreen, smells like Jasmine but fades fast: ETUDE HOUSE Sunprise Mild Airy... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WE3XGAC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Also I love Make Up For Ever Water Blend, it’s light coverage, no oil and fast to blend on with hands. Great every day wear! You may be happy with what you have once you get your skin condition under control. You’ll be very thankful, I promise! Let me know how it goes.
HG face wash that cleans well but is not drying at alllll/super gentle, and is well-priced for quantity, AND foams without sulfates:
Hada Labo Rohto Gokujyn Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Foam (Amazon)

Also Kiku is absolutely my love. I would have trash trash skin without it. Helps with PIH, dry skin, oily skin, balances drying from acids, good all year round, quick absorbing, nice as primer too tbh.

Both of these things have made a world of difference because my skin spirals downwards really quick if I take either of these two out, as I have sadly learned twice last year.

Other random products:
I use this one!
I don't think Himalaya has a pump mechanism like that in any product. I could also be wrong tho since I don't use any Himalaya products. Please double check haha
Etude House soon jung whip cleanser and Klairs rich moist foaming cleanser have those pumps I'm talking about. Hada Labo also has something similar. — these products have those pump mechanism that dispense foam. I've linked them for your reference.
You may want to look into r/SkincareAddiction or r/AsianBeauty for additional help.
A good basic routine starts with a cleanser, an exfoliator, a moisturizer, and a sunscreen. Some good add-on products would be a hydrating serum, and possibly even a nighttime oil since your skin tends to be dry. Here are some products below that I have tried and can recommend for someone with dry skin. Note that L = "Luxury", and AA = affordable alternative. Note that the "luxury" recommendations are what my top choice would be, and vary in price.
Cleansers:
-L: Farmacy Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser ~ Soooo hydrating. Probably one of the best cleansing experiences I've had. Cleaner ingredients as well.
-AA: Hada Labo Foaming Cleanser ~ Very gentle, no fuss cleanser.
Exfoliators:
-L: First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads ~ Glycolic/Lactic acid based chemical exfoliator. Great for a beginner because all you need is to take half of a pad and swipe it all over the face (avoid eye area ofc) after cleansing. They claim you can use these daily, but I would recommend starting with just a couple of days per week, and then increase as needed.
-AA: By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Exfoliating Toner ~ Mandelic acid is one of the more gentle acids because it has a larger molecular structure, therefore it does not penetrate the skin as easily as glycolic or lactic acid. I'm currently using this 3x/week and my skin looks so smooth and glowy after I use it. I apply it with a cotton square.
Serums:
-L: First Aid Beauty Hydrating Serum ~ This serum is somewhat light, but super hydrating and smoothing. I was really surprised by this product! Using this along with a humidifier in the home does wonders for my skin.
-AA: CosRX Snail Mucin Power Essence ~ So this is an essence, but because it's a bit thicker, I actually use it as a serum. It's working really well with extra hydration especially with coverings on the face.
Moisturizers:
-L: Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Moisturizer ~ I'm currently using this. I absolutely love the way this feels on the skin. You only need a pea sized amount because of how hydrating it is.
-AA: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel-Cream ~ Simple, yet effective. Does a decent job of hydrating without feeling too thick.
Sunscreen:
-Canmake Mermaid Skin UV Gel Sunscreen ~ Affordable, sinks right into the skin. Great for under makeup, or to be worn alone. No strong scent and no sticky, tacky feel either!
Oil:
-The Ordinary 100% Organic Rosehip Oil ~ I only have one recommendation here, because personally I don't believe in overpriced oils! This one really helps seal in moisture, which helps to keep the skin smooth.
Once your skin is in check (Usually takes about 3-4 weeks for your skin to fully change), I would ask for makeup tips in a separate post closer to the elopement.
I adjusted my routine a little. I oil cleanse with grape seed oil and then I go over it with Hadalabo Foaming Cleanser and I cleanse a third time - it sounds silly but it works for me because I wear makeup almost daily. ( i still use laroche posay, only on days when I’m not wearing makeup)
Hada Labo Japan Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Bubble Foaming Cleanser 160ml https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CE5P580/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_wsQbEbXGPW68P
I also use the hadalabo hyaluronic moisture lotion and then I finish with hadalabo moisture milky lotion.
For serums I use Way of Will brightening serum during the day and at night I use their soothing serum.
https://www.wayofwill.com/collections/face/facial-serum/
I’m addicted to these brands - they’ve changed my skin dramatically.
I'm a 29M (Asian, oily skin, acne prone) and I'm having troubles deciphering which cleansers to use since a lot of the recommendations/Holy Grail threads are tailored to women and how efficient it is to remove makeup. Since I don't apply makeup, I just want a gentle cleanser that is best for me irregardless of how well it removes makeup. Just from the recommendations, it seems these are all good, but again, I don't know which would be good for men:

And here's two that I used at a friend's place that I just thought the bottle looked cool and they felt okay:

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
I'm trying to decide between a new low-pH cleanser for my second cleanser. These both have pH 5-6 according to the spreadsheet.
I have generally preferred super gentle cleansers, but mostly just looking for something low pH to go before my Vitamin C. Any recs? I just am paralyzed by the choice, so any nudge in either direction would be helpful!
This blog post and the one with product recommendations really helped me https://simpleskincarescience.com/pityrosporum-folliculitis-treatment-malassezia-cure/
I use this cleanser and Oil of Olay complete for sensitive skin. Hada Labo Rohto Gokujyn Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Foam, 160ml https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CE5P580/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_-nS1AbYDHG99A It's worked for me.
Not OP, but I believe this is what they are referring to Hada Labo Rohto Gokujyn Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Foam [AKA the reformulated ver] or Hadalabo Japan goku jyun Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Bubble Foaming Cleanser. Right now the first one is under 10 dollars with free shipping while the second is under 20 with free shipping, too. I believe all, if not most of the brand is also located on amazon. You are also more likely to find everything on there - if not check out yesstyle, sokoglam or bbcosmetic.
Is this the one?
What is the difference in these Hada Labo Rohto Gokujyn Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Foams?
I've read they changed the formula to something more drying but which one is which?
First one:
Second one:
I just ordered this Hada Labo which i believe is the same thing as the new formula on amazon. If not can someone please correct me. Anyway upon reading the labeling on the back there is a stick on my bottle that says "This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer". First off is this even safe for me to use and secondly did the older formulation have the same sticker on it?
My skin almost never gets new blemishes or acne, but I can't get the redness and bumps already there to go away.
My potato camera makes it look worse than it is, but it's still intolerably annoying.
Current routine is kinda flipped because I work at night, so I cleanse with Hada Labo Rohto Gokujyn Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Foam in the mornings, then moisturize with CeraVe in the tub. At night before work I just rinse with water (from my filtered showerhead) and just have a touch of the CeraVe.
My skin seems both oily and dehydrated. I don't use sunscreen often because I'm mostly just out at night and have yet to find a new one since learning I should be using alcohol-free sunscreen. I had been using Biore Sarasara UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence.
Thanks for your help. :)
