As far as correct lug width, Amazon's measurements are notoriously dubious. WatchSleuth says 19mm, while other sites say 22mm, so it's hard to tell; best way would be to measure it yourself.

For a nice leather strap, it's hard to go wrong with a Hadley-Roma band - these are available in a ton of different styles, colors, and widths, while being relatively affordable and well-made. I'd also suggest doing a quick eBay search as I've stumbled across some pretty great deals on cool straps every so often.

The first two straps are from Amazon. The last 4 came with watches. Here's the source of each:

Those of you that have hadley leather strap + deployant combination, have any of you found the strap too thick for the clasp? The buckle doesn't really click into place and the same side lock comes undone all the time.

Yep, that's the one. That's not my pic btw, but I have the same watch & strap, minus the deployment clasp. The strap is the Hadley Roma Chestnut, and you can find it on ebay. There's also a Honey Brown one on Amazon or that looks very similar, if not the same.

the watch is a timex weekender, just swapped out the strap

yeah no problem! band & clasp. The clasp is 16mm instead of 18mm because the band tapers down to a 16mm buckle
