Was a general question. Amazon offers the 70455533, a very close relative, for $401. Seems for only $25 more there’s a new one with a return guarantee. Just putting that out there.
Btw I was at Walmart last night looking at watches and I realized that if you want a $10 watch, I could totally help you out and get it for you. I know that's not why you posted, but I made some money this week in crypto, so I was thinking I could pay it forward.
I could buy it for you on Amazon, but it looks like I could just PM you an Amazon gift so you could buy it for yourself without giving me any of your info. I liked the watch you picked out, but if you had your eyes on another watch in the $20–40 range, that would be totally fine, too.
I mean, honestly if you're in Chicagoland, you could borrow my Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic if you wanted to. If you could come pick it up and then give it back after the interview. I'd have to take a picture of your license (I'm not an idiot), so you'd lose your anonymity, but it would probably cost the same in gas as the Casio but get you an actual Swiss watch for the interview. I live pretty far from the city proper, but I've been meaning to go to the Rolex AD in Naperville, so if that's closer we could meet there.
Just let me know if you like either of those ideas. Otherwise, good luck with the interview!
You should be able to find it in your budget if you look for it used on watchrecon.com
>"Fulfilled by Amazon" means that Amazon is the seller
Well in all the Seiko/Tissot/Hamilton watches on Amazon that I've seen it's always said "Sold by [company name]" and "Fulfilled by Amazon". Like this khaki for example.
But I think I know what you mean. If it's being held at Amazon's own facility it's probably means Amazon trusts the company, right? Probably different than 3rd part sellers that don't have the "fulfilled by Amazon" text?
Hamilton Khaki is my weekender. Goes with any outfit. Also a good entry-level automatic watch brand imo.
Watches as a hobby get expensive really quickly. Right now I only have two watches, a Hamilton Khaki Field that was about $400 when I got it from the gray market (new but no warranty) and a G-Shock that was about $50 at Target. The Hamilton would be $600 from an authorized dealer, but I was hoping I'd have no problems without the warranty (I didn't).
I got to try on the new Cartier Santos a couple weeks ago and it was amazing ($6,250). I also really liked the new Tag Heuer Autavia 02($5,150 on leather), but I'm waiting for the limited edition Orange Boy Autavia($6,050) available this October. I can't really afford anything right now, otherwise I would snatch one of the 300 U1-ENs before they sell out (€625), but I'm spending my imaginary money as cautiously as I can!
Amazon has a killer deal on them: [link]. Unfortunately, I think this is one that is going with me to the grave/will.
Definitely. It's H70455533 Here's the link:
I'm not a fan of the Hamilton's muted bezel, but I like the dial the best. Hamilton has two other versions of the Khaki that have better looking bezels, this and this.
As far as the other two goes, I like the SKX013 slightly better. I'm a fan of the dots as opposed to the typical lines you'd see in most watches.
I'm looking for an automatic with a minimalist style under $250 (I'm a grown-ass man with bills to pay).
I like these a lot:
Hamilton HML-H70455533 Khaki Field Black Dial Watch
Hamilton 'Khaki Aviation' Swiss Automatic Stainless Steel and Black Leather Casual Watch (Model: H64615735)
Longines L3.618.104.22.168 Sports Legends Black Dial Watch
Obviously those are way outside my price point. Would love any suggestions! Must have the date displayed. I use that shit. Indifferent on the day. Glow in the dark hands would be nice to have.
Have you taken a look at Hamilton? There are numerous elegant models. Here's one I like very much. You can get them a bit cheaper in your price range. Good luck!
I'm stuck trying to decide what watch to get next. I've run the list down to 3:
Orient Flight FER2A006B0
Mondaine Evo Big Date A627.30303.11SBB
Hamilton Field HML-H70455533
1 and 3 are kinda similar style-wise, and I usually just wear decent sneakers and denim all the time. The Mondaine I really like the look of it, but I'm honestly not sure where it falls on the fashion spectrum.
Hamilton looks like it could be a good bet, this one looks really nice, but it's a bit more than I want to spend right now [link]
Hamilton Khaki is always a safe bet.
this is a good recommendation for a watch that will last you 1 or 2 years. the finish on cheap black watches won't last long if you are even a little rough on em. the movement will last for much longer but i think they start looking tacky.
if you are looking to spend a little more coin on an automatic watch this one is pretty nice. it will last for many many many years
