Another drone with something like this attached airdrop hook
Drop a line with a hook at the end on either the drone or a nearby branch. And just shake it down :-)
ordered this payload device from amazon, and it shockingly works well. there are multiple options both cheaper and more expensive.

thats the end of our driveway and low traffic culdesac but agree with you, this isn't something you'd want to do on a busy street or any streets for that matter.
These are DJI interfaces (you can recognize the interface in the videos), not sure what model exactly and they often drop single modified VOG 17 grenades. Those grenades are ~330g unmodified, but you have to add the dropping mechanism weight, remove the dome weight and then add the PLA tail weight. And a nail I think they use to trigger the grenade on impact.
If you look at the off the shelf droppers: https://www.amazon.com/Hanatora-Payload-Airdrop-Delivery-Transport/dp/B08GFXHCBB
It says "maximum load 500g" and 100g for the dropper. If you scroll around on that page you can find a couple of other versions. Weight/load differs from version to version, sometimes it's 400g and some reviews say "up to 300g max".
If you search for it, you can find people collecting money on twitter and they'll show you photos of the military units with the DJI drones in their hands as well and they aren't those big phantoms or M series, it's some kind of Mavic if I remember correctly.
@harri_est does a lot of fundraisers like that, you can scroll for days through his profile, there must be hundreds of pictures of donations. Here's his profile: https://twitter.com/Harri_Est
Here's one image I found: https://hs.mediadelivery.fi/img/1920/05bf14486e345eab2e534923a48707b8.jpg
That's a Mavic 2 Zoom, though the dropper mechanism isn't shown in the photo.
I also know there is a different group with big octocopters that hold 4 grenades: https://aerorozvidka.xyz/ This is closer to what you are talking about, but they use custom DIY octocopters, not DJI and you can tell if you see their footage, because they use night vision cameras.
Oh and there's https://www.dronesforukraine.fund that give you a piece of a shot down airplane in return for a donation, if you scroll through the site, you can find videos and photos, looks like mostly DJI: https://www.dronesforukraine.fund/reports
I actually flew a handful of FreezePops to my son and his friends while they were at the clubhouse pool the other day. Had them back out and dropped them from 140m into the deep end using this little gem: https://www.amazon.com/Hanatora-Payload-Airdrop-Delivery-Transport/dp/B08GFXHCBB
In retrospect, I should have filmed it. And the following look after they realized no one had the scissors or knife to open them.
