Art et techniques du cuir looks promising, wished I would of stuck with french in school. It looks similar to leather connection manuals which I already own. Very expensive set of books so it hurts to buy a book that the manuals cover.
I think I may go for this book that was the recommended book from your link. Hermes books and louis vuitton books are a start too.
