Thank you for this post, it's exactly what I needed! I've been trying a cheap metal cage from Amazon off and on for the past few months. The problem I was having is that my balls would inevitably slip back through the ring at some point during the day.
You helped me realize the problem is the gap between the cage and the bottom of the ring. By bending the cage downward, I've made that gap smaller so that I can't slip back through so easily. It really seems to have made the difference.
Since yours is plastic, I don't think it'll work for you, but I hope you figure it out soon. Good luck!
That looks like a CB-Curve, which is generally for guys who are much larger and "show-ers" not "growers". Is there a lot of shaft skin bunched up behind the tube? If so, you might be able to get your penis further into the tube by using the stocking method, or a little bit of lube and poking your fingers through the base ring from behind.
If not, if that's the maximum insertion you can get into the cage, then that cage is wrong for you because it's far too long. Your cock head should be pushing up against the very end of the cage when 100% flaccid. You might look into something sized more to your dimensions, for example:
I was using one the plastic CB line. It tended to pinch, which maybe was the issue.

I suppose it's a cheap knock off, but it works for me. It is comfortable enough for me to sleep in without issue, if it is put on well.
My suggestion from Amazon. You'd probably want the smallest ring. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GJT8228/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_UATVzbAJ9ZQPE
Aside from some rough spots in the seams, I'm also a big fan of this Holy Trainer V2 clone. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M31MNF7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_uCTVzbFMW380H
You can get a decent cage off Amazon for less than thirty bucks. Like this one, for example.
Face it, your excuses won't hold water much longer~
Be sure to get the right size base ring (45mm is the most common fit). And I recommend getting a cage that's small enough that you'll fill the whole length even when soft - it's more comfortable that way and prevents it slipping around in there. You might even want to get an even smaller cage later - I like mine smooshed into the smallest cage I could find - but a regular "small" cage is probably the best starting point.
Oh, and I also recommend finding someone to be accountable to. I haven't had an orgasm in 23 days, 19 hours, and 37 minutes and I definitely would have cracked by now if I was only answering to myself.
