Pool grade is poisonous to all, food grade is killer to insects but mammals can eat it lol.\r\n\r\nyea, the fact it never loses its potency since its mechanical is amazing. the only downside is how messy it can be, imagine tossing fine flour all over your house lol.\r\n\r\ntonight after work, came home and inspected and have yet to find any mites crawling around. I think it may have worked totally now. You’ll have to reapply if it gets wet / moist. I laced ours with sugar so they would take it back to the nest. On top of that (we had black ants everywhere when we moved in but formerly TX resident) if you have birds that frequent your yard sprinkle some seed along with the DE. It’s harmless to animals if you get the food grade kind and the birds ate up the ants. \r\n\r\nTakes about 24 hours for the first kill.
