you should look into HD58x
$50 cheaper than the 6XX at $170 but you will save another $100-150 as you wont need a DAC/AMP to power the HD58x
If you are listening to music out of an iPad/iPhone/Macbook/Mac you will NOT need an DAC/AMP with the 58x
So with that savings of $50 + $100-150 for a decent DAC/AMP combo you are looking at 75-80% similar sound signature for $200 less - id take that any day of the week especially if this is just going to be your first audiophile purchase and if you have another set of buds like i do with the Airpods Pro
Just my two cents - i did quite a bit of research you wont beat the HD58x at $170
I found a code and got them for $195 with 2 year accidental warranty so when i bend the metal bands to reduce the famous Sennheiser clamp i wont have to worry about breaking them.
Very satisfied with my purchase so far - mainly using the HD58x to listen to lossless and masters from Apple Music out of my Macbook Pro 16" - i could improve the sound with an amp but it gets so loud i am worried about damaging my ears so will most likely skip on an AMP anyways
The beauty of the HD58x is most consumer electronics (barring maybe PS4/Xbox controllers and some shittier PC laptops/desktops with bad sound cards) can power them - especially Apple products they use great DACs and the headphone adapter for $6 is what most people on Reddit claim is your cheapest DAC solution out there.
Picked up this stand for my desk for under $15 as well https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZYTS86X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If you have any other questions hit me up! best of luck
Here’s the link on Amazon. I will likely be ordering the black one to match everything else. That stand is actually my bf’s lol, just used for the picture.

I have several of these cheap standsfrom Amazon. They are noticeably taller than other stands at the same price level and they help with cable crunch for most of the headphones I own.
If it blocks the vent significantly then it's not good. If there's liquid involved (like a pop can) then it's not good. If it's dirty or covered in pet hair it's not good.
Headphones should be okay, but don't try to overrule your dad at home; It's not a fight worth winning. You could try "I think it would be okay to store these on top of the PC case because they're clean and don't block airflow. The nerds on the internet agree with me. But if you still feel I shouldn't store my headphones there, would you please buy me a headphone stand so that my headphones are somewhere safe."
I purchased 4 of these about a month ago. Then 4 more. And then I bought number 9. At just $16 (they were $14) you get a darn good looking, very stable stand constructed of an aluminum base with rubber non-slide surface, an aluminum pole which screws into the base as well as into the hard plastic cradle which holds your headphones. This stand holds the 612 gram Audeze LCD-X just fine and even has room to wind your cable and store over the saddle or wrap loosely around the headphone.
Amazon has tons of great stands around $10-20
Use this for my HD58X which are larger than the Pulse

I recommend this stand. Very clean look, sturdy, and looks quite nice. Its got a simple and thin design that is great for any pair. Plus it costs only like $18.

This is the best headphone stand I've ever bought: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZYTS86X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_neo8FbDH8EJD6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Cheap (like how headphone stands need to be) and holds heapdhones at a high height so no folded cables.

Yeah lol I used to work for Apple and that was sent to me after my 5th year working for them.
Link to the stand. I just got it but it seems like it distributes the weight pretty well.
Yeah you should definitely get a different stand. The Sundara's pads will definitely be distorted. You should get this stand for the Sundarahttps://www.amazon.com/Headphone-Desktop-Stand-Headset-Holder/dp/B07ZYTS86X/ref=sr_1_9?crid=3GRDNE5A32FNN&keywords=headphones+stand&qid=1667499982&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI2LjA1IiwicXNhIjoiNS42NyIsInFzcCI6IjUuMTIifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=headphones+stand%2Caps%2C390&sr=8-9
The reason I chose this stand is because it has a moderate height. With shorter stand, when you hang your Sundara while being extended, the headphones' jacks will touch the table. As a result, the cable at the heads of the jacks start to bend. You can avoid this by retract the headphone every time you put it on the stand. You don't have to that with this stand
The last thing is you need to hang your Sundara by the metal part not the strap. Hanging by the strap will wear it out.
Source: I owned a Sundara and it was such a hassle to find a stand for it.
Here's the single one:

This is the dual one:

Instead of buying digital CCGs I bought bling for my headphones. Cost about as much as a meta deck would of, from what I gathered.
Check this headphone stand out, Does the curve on a smaller scale. Just some inspiration.
These have room to leave cables on Ananda's. That's with it hanging from the metal band.

Duckbill stand, tall enough for pretty much any can. Using one for a M1570.
Congratulations on the LCD-X! I own them too and love them, even more than my LCD-2 though I love the older pads on those better. The new pads are comfortable but there is a texture on the part that sits on my ears which I don't especially like. Maybe in time I'll get used to it, or maybe try some other pads. Anyway, it's a great headphone!
Should you decide to purchase a headphone stand I highly recomment this one. I purchased nine of them so that all of mine sat on the same kind of stand. You can choose either black or white. A nice looking, very stable $16 stand.

Oh and by the way, while the LCD-X is on the heavier side you can try something along the lines of what I have done. I purchased a leather strap which goes around my head and I attached a couple of heavy duty chains to it. I then connect the hooks at the end of those chains to an old washing machine in my garage and drag it around the block a couple of times daily. Works wonders in building strong neck muscles! LOL

Headphones stand: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZYTS86X/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_4H3256GNEZ9NA5T0DHYW. And the cup holder is a pack of 4 coasters: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GCHOVRM/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_W157HT0RP4ZVV8D6YSC8, it says that they are wood but it doesn’t feel like wood and also are so lightweight, so I’d recommend you to find another one.

I actually just bought a headset stand. It’s not a smart stand or anything. It’s very basic, but well made. I use it for my work desk where I use an Arctis 5 headset.

I use this one because it's cheap, sturdy, stylish, and taller than a lot of options which is better with Grado cable being what it is
Looks like it's this one.
