Find a way to store your headphones and controller when not in use. Personally, I use an under the desk headphone mount for the former. I have something like this, although I got mine on AliExpress for much less money.
They also sell on the desk combined controller and headphone mounts such as this one. That would free up desk space and make everything look more organized.
