You and I are just about the same size, and I use a doorframe pull-up bar. Something like this:http://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Duty-Doorway-Chin-up-Pull-up/dp/B0055PFE2Y It's great because you have access to more than one type of grip, meaning that you can include some variety in your pull-ups, as well as increase the range of muscles that you work. The one thing I will say, is that sometimes you need to put padding between your bar and the door frame if it's wooden.
I'm not interested because I bought this pullpup bar (http://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Duty-Doorway-Chin-up-Pull-up/dp/B0055PFE2Y), and I had to work hard for the reps.
Of course, I started with jumping pullups and with a chair help in the beginnings, but not anymore. But I'm pissed of because I've paid 50€ for this bar and Amazon has it with a much better price.
