I am so glad you mentioned this. The Heavy Metal (Collector's Edition) is on sale for 7 bucks right now. Bought it as a backup, Amazon says I already own it but I have no clue where it is. I f'in love this movie.
Show me some love reddit!
Heavy FUCKIN' Metal
Thanks for the reminder! Been meaning to pick this up on DVD, got it from Amazon for 8 bucks!
Go outside and try to find friends. Seriously. It's almost meetup day...I'd suggest finding one near your area, as redditors are generally pretty great people.
Sitting at your computer watching streaming games is all fine, but it's not going to go a long way to finding you friends. Go out and do things. If you can't find things that you're interested in, go out and do things that you're not interested in and talk to people about why you're not interested in them. Ask people about themselves, get them talking.
You're not going to find people, or learn conversational or social skills by sitting inside. All of us get rejected, and not everyone has social skills, but your ideal friend or lover is not going to magically appear beside your computer one day. You need to actually get outside for that to happen.
My life really didn't kick into high gear until I was well into my 30s...you've still got a lot of time. Too many of my friends (I'm old) did nothing except watch Heavy Metal until they were well into their 30s, and most of them are very happily partnered now.
If you're not interested in anything aside from watching streaming games, then go and see a therapist and find out what you want to do with your life. When you're in your late 20's, there are a lot of people at loose ends, so you're not alone.Your life is not over yet.
