The inside corner from the flat bottom to the bell look beat up; seasoning might not fix that, but it’s worth a shot. The Helen Chen basic flat-bottom wok is a good price. I don’t have one but have heard good thigs. This one is just under $40 at Amazon

The key to these carbon woks is to blue the wok using high heat then let it cool a bit then put some high temp cooking oil on it to coat. Instructions come with the wok so it will help beginners.

You will certainly get more use out of a flat-bottomed wok, I would go for it. You can still use it on a turkey fryer burner or whichever outdoor setup you decide on. If you're looking for a recommendation, I bought this one based on a recent Cook's Illustrated article and I love it:

Note that it's going to be difficult to season the sides of a wok without a gas range, you can't do it in the oven because the bamboo handles will scorch. I had to take it over to my parents' house and spend 2 hours breathing smoke over their stove.

The thick bottom holds the heat well so I can get a sear as long as I don't overload the pan. It was a bit of a pain to season it due to the bamboo handle though, you can't put it in the oven or it will scorch. I took it over to my mom's where she has a gas stove and gave it a few rounds of seasoning there, it works great as long as I don't cook anything overly acidic in it.
