Thanks so much for your reply. I was researching which book to buy and found two very similar works by AA Long. There is:

I am thinking about pulling the trigger and getting the book I first listed but wanted to ask if you have a preference between the two or which book you were originally referencing? Thanks in advance, it was hard finding what the difference between these books are.

I'd suggest a good introduction to hellenistic philosophy like

• Hellenistic Philosophy by A. A. Long
• Hellenistic Philosophy by John Sellars

or, because I think original texts are often a very good (or even the best) place to start with:
