Keeb: Drop alt mechanical keyboard with np ice cream keycap set and GMK knockoff Headphones: 1more triple driver (not the IEM) Pen: Herlitz my pen nicewriter set except when I bought it 10 years ago it was like $15
Hallo r/mechanicalheadpens ! This is my second post here, and after all these months I've upgraded everything in one way or another.
Mechanical: lulu, this keyboard is my first split and first ortho linear. I really like boardsource as a company because I bought as a group buy, and it only took about 9 months between purchase and arrival to my door. The keycaps are NP icecreams in the letter rows and XDA weather (clones) everywhere else.
Head: HD6XX and 1more triple driver. I love both headphones a lot. The resolution and soundstage of the HD6XX is really something beautiful, but when I cave and just want some high fidelity bass, I know the triple driver is there waiting for me. The amps in the background are the well known Schiit magni + modi stack and the Nobsound NS08E (it's shit). The IEMs on the left from top left to bottom right are the Moondrop Aria Elven Maiden (limited edition), Etymotic ER2SE, Moondrop Kato, and the 7Hz Dioko. If I had to rank all of them, I wouldn't because they all have something special to them, but the Hatsune Miku Aria wins in cuteness, the Etymotic wins in details, the Kato wins in being the most well rounded and is kind of the best sounding imo, and the Dioko wins in best resolution and soundstage.
Pens: Kaweco Collection Sport Fountain pen (limited edition), and Herlitz My Pen Stlye. The price difference in these pens is quite large. I bought the Kaweco in a small shop in Germany over the Summer, and the Herlitz about 10 years ago somewhere in Poland. I really like both of them despite the great price gap. The Kaweco feels really nice in the hand, and slides across the paper. It's quite pretty as well. The Herlitz gets much less use now that I have the Kaweco, but there are many qualities it has that I still love. It has the feeling of an old fountain pen that scratches the paper a bit as you write, making for the beautiful sound of a pen scratching paper. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever get another fountain pen as expensive as the Kaweco, as that was just a bad decision, yet it is not one I regret. I use it everyday and love the way the ink looks on the paper.
Other: the coiled cable was just a cool looking straight cable I found in a store, which I wrapped around a thin pipe and put a hairdryer to. The two Panzer IV in the background are a 3D print and a japanese hobby model. The anime figure in the back is a different kind of japanese hobby model, and can be found here.
If you're curious or want anymore info about anything shown, please just ask! I really love all of these hobbies, and have quite a bit of experience in all of them except the pen one (because really, what the hell do you guys talk about with fountain pens?).
There's also the Herlitz My.Pen Style, which is also available in a “calligraphy version”.
