Of the humidifiers I've tried, this Taotronics desk humidifier has been my favorite:

It's not the best at filling an entire room with humidity (it creates a heavier mist you can see that increases the humidity in a pretty localized area), but it's easy to clean and refill and it's fairly portable incase you need to move it around with you. It also doesn't require you to spend an extra $10-$20 a month buying filters. As far as increasing humidity in a small bedroom while you're sleeping, it does a great job.
I also used to use a standing humidifier from Honeywell:

The honeywell humidifier was great at getting an entire room really humid, but it was a massive pain to maintain. The replacement filters are really expensive (even if you're getting off-brand ones), and they get absolutely disgusting if you're not replacing them regularly. Also, the thing itself was just a nightmare to clean out.
I use this as it does not put a visible mist in the air and only increases RH.Honeywell
