I have this problem almost every year, including today! Like other people, none of the natural solutions worked, but I found that these things work like a charm. Fruit flies were gone in a few days and now I swear by them.
Unless it’s freezing, I would take it and put it outside in a garbage bag or mattress bag with a pest strip. They’ll kill anything crawling and their eggs.

My friend lemme tell you about an easy, safe (although chemical), and mess free way to eliminate any and all above ground plant insect pests: Dichlorvos
A single No pest strip in a small sealed room for a couple days. Repeat this process a day few days later to kill any hatchlings from eggs which will be unaffected. Repeat again to be thorough, because fuck them blood sucking assholes.
This is the same chemical used in commercial airplanes to ensure insects don’t find their way into control panels and fine instrumentation. It’s claimed to be safe for pets and the chemical itself has a short half life, but this is a scorched earth insect killer that got me through several mite infestations in my indoor weed growing days and it WORKS.
If your don’t live in your RV hang this in there when you aren’t using it. It lasts for 4 months and you can reseal it if you only use it a short time.

Go online and buy dichlorvos strips. Throw a strip into the plastic bag for a few days. Any bedbugs will be dead bugs. Also, follow the safety precautions. Stuff can make you sick.
Edit: Here’s an example of a version available in the US: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0019BK8AG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_JKMMZC82J7JYHGSXTEMM
Another vote for Ortho Home Defense. I spray outside the foundation and inside our unfinished basement at the top of the foundation at the sill plate/rim joist area. Do that about 2x per year and there’s always a trail of dead bugs all around our basement floor perimeter, so I know it’s working. Another option is Hot Shot No-Pest Strips. You hang them in the area you want to treat and they release a vapor that kills any insects. They can’t be anywhere that humans spend more than 4 hours at a time as it will make you sick, so best for areas like garages, sheds, storage. But they work great and last for 4 months at a time. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0019BK8AG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_C2Z5PT7F02KG5TFQQ6EC
Try this Hot Shot No-Pest Strip. It got rid of all the fruit flies within a day in my house. I tried all the Apple cider stuff and it never worked for me.

Holy moly bud that’s a lot of suckers suckin away. The no pest strips do work. They won’t leave any good critters behind though. I haven’t had to use one in probably a decade or more but I know a friend who used one a few months back when he had a super stubborn spider mite infestation and it did clear things up.

Some people get those “Pest strips” stuff and fumigate the tank for a few hours, normally outside since it’s some highly concentrated stuff and needs to air out aswell
pest strip I’ve seen a majority of people use
Mites are such a pain
I’ve lived plenty of places without in NYC. I would just get baits and a pest strip. Hang up the pest strip, leave the place for a couple hours to a couple days. Air out the when you get back. It’s like an odorless bug bomb. Do it until roaches are gone. Works for any bug.

Thanks, do you think this is a good option for my trunk: http://www.amazon.com/Hot-Shot-5580-Unscented-Repellent/dp/B0019BK8AG
The bugs were very tiny, I would say absolutely no more than 1-2 mm in length. Didn't think to look for a subreddit for it
Damn just reading about them is evoking anxiety. I think I'll probably just toss it because I don't think we could realistically remove them from the house I live in currently for several reasons
Put it in a bag or box with a pest strip https://www.amazon.com/Hot-Shot-No-Pest-Crawling-Penetrating/dp/B0019BK8AG
It will kill anything that crawls and fungus gnats too.
Find the source. If it is away from food hang one of these at night. It actually kills not just traps. Hot Shot 100046114 No-Pest Strip, Pack of 1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0019BK8AG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_W047T3K7K8JAF7KZK0DJ

This has been the best thing that I have found to combat fruit flies and gnats during the harvest season.
Pest strips. Leave the house for a few days and use a few of these to fumigate. https://www.amazon.com/Hot-Shot-No-Pest-Crawling-Penetrating/dp/B0019BK8AG
If you have a few days before bringing these items home, hang the appropriate amount of these in the storage unit (probably one or two -- but based on CUBIC feet. One will control approximately a 10x10x10 unit). If you want to target a particular box, I have heard of people putting this and the box in a large plastic bag and sealing it up for a day.

Even with the above, be careful as BR spider bites can be very serious.
Hang a 'No Pest Strip' in your grow area for a few days to a week and you won't see the spider mites again.

The best thing I have found for spider mites, and doesn't require anything to spray-on or touch the plants is "Hot Shot No-Pest Strips"

Just hang them right next to your ladies, and spider mites die.
The best thing I found to kill spider mites without chems or anything touching the plant is "hot shot"

Gas them.
