Many people put a squishy make up sponge under the gore for a few days to weeks while the bra gets ‘broken in’. It just takes a little wear for the wires to soften up a little/ adjust to your body.
Another option that I’ve used are little sticky heel pads that are meant to go on the back of shoes to stop your heel rubbing and getting blisters. They are very soft and pretty comfy. I just cut them smaller and stuck them on the gore covering the wire. The sticky quickly wears off, but I’ve found the bra keeps it in place fine.
If your heels are slipping out, don’t get them stretched! They’re probably already too wide in the back. I don’t remember exactly what they’re called but you need to get heel cushions (these things https://www.amazon.com/Hotop-Cushion-Self-Adhesive-Protector-Multicolor/dp/B0749G3LND/ref=zg_bs_3780111_4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=0CGR56J9R1JZ5ZCF4CEJ ) It’ll help keep the shoe on your foot and reduce overall friction and thus less blisters!
I have very wide feet at the front and very narrow heels so I need to get these for pretty much any leather shoes I own.
The slip will probably lessen once they break in a bit. Whether it will go away completely depends on how bad your heel is slipping. I'd personally try something like a heel pad instead of an insole to see if that remedies the problem first. You stick it right in the back of the shoe and it should give your heel some grip and minimize the slipping.
If your heel is slipping that is a sign that they don't fit you well. You can try a heel pad but that may or may not help.
Don’t keep the tight ones trust me I’ve kept tight shoes before and they got so uncomfortable, especially after walking all day.
My advice is to buy a heel pad and put it in the heel area of the 10.5, that will fill up the extra space and make the slipping less frequent https://www.amazon.ca/Hotop-Cushion-Self-adhesive-Insoles-Protector/dp/B0749G3LND/ref=asc_df_B0749G3LND/?tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=459081222409&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=8082018480007292608&hvpone=&hvptwo=&a...
THESE are the greatest thing EVER! all my like ankle height shoes have them and they're SUCH a game changer. Really helps so u don't really get blisters and it's made my shoes fit a bit better! The best the best the best
They're too big! The worst rubbing you'll get are from loose shoes because tight shoes won't rub, they'll stay in place. If they're only half a size off you can try heel cushions. Stick them on the shoe at the heel, and they'll fill some of the gap and make the fit tighter.
Edit: small -> big
I had a pair of winter boots that bunched at my heels, and I found tongue pads from amazon helped!
Depending on how bad the pressure is, they might be worth a try.
If the boots are leather, you could also try taking them to a shoe repair store and having the calves stretched out a bit so they stay up better. I've done that a couple of times with boots that don't quite fit.
I hope you find something that works for you!
I put these on mine and it did wonders!! Have it on most my docs now and it really makes a difference breaking them in
I got a box of these on Amazon. Nothing exceptional, but it's serviceable if you need to gain a quarter size.
