I agree with the other comment that the book is awesome but no need to make a video just for the sake of clicks.
TLDR, here the book
There's almost no part in stuff like this that can't fail. The way I fixed them was by narrowing down to the section then checking that.
How to Diagnose and Fix Everything Electronic, Second Edition
I highly recommend "How to Diagnose and Fix Everything Electronic, Second Edition" by Michael Jay Geier. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0071848290/
It details tons of diagnostic procedures and has what failures happen, why they happen and what tools you need to test for specific faults. It also explains what sort of measurements etc, to look for.
YouTubers will know specifics about consoles, etc. But they often don't explain exactly why you need to test specific components etc. The book I linked does. It's also not dry material either. The author does a fantastic job of making things interesting and amusing.
That’s impressive. I’ve always aspired to have such skills. I read How to Diagnose and Fix Everything Electronic but dont have a scope and really dont have enough familiarity with electronic components to feel confident enough to even try. :/
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0071848290 as a start. Also the book "The Art of Electronics" to get a fundamental understanding of what you're repairing. This is huge, long and complicated but manageable.
Warning: addictive. So much so I ended up doing it as a career (electrical engineering) and now design things.
You can find broken televisions and electrical equipment on Ebay, Freecycle and Gumtree. Search for things that are within X miles of your postcode for less than £10 that are listed as spares/repair. Look for buyer collects on ebay. They usually go for nothing. Always attempt to knock off a tenner or two if you're buying on Gumtree.
To be honest I value broken stuff more than working stuff now. I'll repair things and sell them again on eBay. Made about £3000 doing that last year with specialist electronic test equipment. This is on top of my usual job and is above board and official for ref.

The thing about fixing old stuff is that at some point you have to understand how the thing works in order to test what's broken and fix it. You can't learn that just by taking stuff apart unfortunately.
Having said that, this is still a fun book for learners. https://www.amazon.com/How-Diagnose-Everything-Electronic-Second/dp/0071848290
I haven't really looked into this one, but it has pretty solid reviews.
