Do you know of any good books on writing the mystery arc of a novel? I guess I'm hoping there's something out there like Romancing the Beat is for the romance arc but for mystery & suspense--i.e. succinct, fun, and too the point.

I was looking at How to Write a Damn Good Mystery just because the cover looks appealing and it came up first in the search results, but it looks like almost a little more information than what I really need.

I'm a fairly smart little tot and I've read a fair number of mysteries so I think I could just figure it out but it would be cool to have a book or something just to make the essentials clear.
