This brand is pretty hit or miss. I got this one a few days ago for $19 with a coupon. It’s surprisingly decent. No sag or anything like that. Only gripe was the process to loosen the tension was kinda hard. Other than that it’s pretty nice.
It’s had this coupon for a few weeks now. I personally went with this one when it had the same coupon a few days ago (ended up being $19).
The deciding factor was the detachable plate. it’s a pain in the booty cheeks to attach the arm to the monitor, then mount it to the desk by yourself, considering adjustments you may need to make in the height.
Either way I think they use the same (OEM) gas arms so unless you get a defective unit, it will be just fine.
Most VESA monitor arms (check that your monitor has VESA mounts first) include a mounting mechanism that either pinches the table top or requires drilling a hole through it. I own a Huanuo single monitor mount (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07Z7YNCBW) and have been quite happy (though I wish it had a longer post so it can be installed higher). The mounting mechanism would require only about 1cm of space between the desk and wall, or a hole drilled. You could use one arm section or both, and to have the monitor as far back as possible would only mean setting the joints at nearly 180 degrees so it lies near flat (approx 12cm from post to monitor by my measurement).
I have a similar dual monitor stand. Same brand, just a little cheaper and I was able to lower the bottom arm down the base.
Just again to be sure. Huanuo and Vivo seems to be good brands with alot of options. I would suggest to get as much tilt angle as possible (easier setup for the bottom monitor if tilted a bit). And don't forget to check the weight rating
This is exactly one of the arms I have: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07Z7YNCBW/ref=emc\_b\_5\_t
It's on sale now:

This version holds 17-32 inch monitors. There's a lighter version (17-27 inch monitors) that occasionally goes on sale for $25, but since this one is only $1.50 more expensive, it's probably worth the difference.
This quality selfmade desk, with a Monitor Mount Stand - Single Arm in combination might be great! I love mine but my desk doesnt look so cool like urs ;)
The monitor is a Dell S2721DS, 10 lbs. This is the mount I got: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07Z7YNCBW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . The listing says it's rated for 17.5 lbs, a pretty massive discrepancy. IT did work perfectly with a smaller lighter monitor I have, which is about 4 lbs.
It's possible I got a faulty model, but I wasn't down to return and install another one just to find it had the same flaw.
I ended up getting a Dell MSA14 (I can't remember the exact model number right now). It was about $130, so significantly more expensive than the mount linked here. But I'm happy with it. I find myself adjusting the monitor ~5x a day and the HUANUO mount (even without the sag issue) would have made that a struggle.
this is a good call out, my bad for not checking more closely. Just reposted. It does look like this version is 40% off and maybe is the gas spring one?

Something like this? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z7YNCBW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_4WDDNWVSVZ2DES1ZT1HC
It can be used with a clamp or you can drill a small hole in the desk to run the threaded rod through.
I built my own basic aluminum extrusion frame for <$300 in materials (parts list). Since it's extrusion, it would be relatively easy to modify the design to accommodate any changes.
One option is to mount your monitor to your desk using a swing arm like this one so you can position it just right for your rig. Or just go full ham like me and mount it to a wall.
naw, i checked, the one that went for $15 was the better one, with separate vesa mount installation. thats why im kicking myself for missing that sale
They are pretty decent, I got them off of amazon here
They can clamp or mount, I just leave it clamped as I’m suuuuper indecisive and like to change it a lot.

I have this and its been great for me. lots of adjustments available.
Hmm, what sort of mount would be needed? This one has a clamp; I'll go take a look at the cupholder area this evening.

I do not have any sagging yet. The table top is made from mdf boards.
Put those prices in Checkmate.

I got this Huanuo one, basically the same design as yours, rod with arm https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Z7YNCBW/
I setup my working table with a 35" ultrawide monitor in a desk stand. It's centered, but if I needed I could have left it to one side and include another screen on the side of it (not 35", I suppose).
My table is the the Ovraryd Table Top with legs from Lowe's (Adils table legs were out of stock) and Huanuo monitor stand:
