If you don't want to go the custom plate route you can get one of these plates. The sag/sway on the monitor arm is usually from there being more weight on the arm than the desk can handle in such a small area.
You'll want to get a plate to distribute the weight or it will deform and crack the desk over time. This is the one I use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CK24TCX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Currently have a vivo triple monitor mount on it with one monitor above the other 2. Without the plate the linmon cracked and the monitor stand was going to give at any time. I've had the plate on a new linmon desktop over a year now and there's no noticeable sag in the tabletop.
If you do not feel comfortable making your own, buy some monitor mount reinforcing plates like:
HUANUO Steel Monitor Mount Reinforcement Plate for Thin, Glass and Other Fragile Tabletop, Steel Bracket Plate Fits Most Monitor Stand C Clamp Installation
I’ve had this for a few weeks and it is very strong. In addition to the arm I also have a reinforcement plate to add additional support, the link below is what I used.
HUANUO Steel Monitor Mount... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CK24TCX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
You could get some extra support to distribute the weight, something like this:
You could also use some wood or study material to build the extra support in yourself. Id use something not to thin and pretty on the top, maybe plywood or pvc. On the bottom, anything that adds support and keeps the pressure off any point of that desk.
If you are concerned at all, consider adding a reinforcement plate like this one. It is a little pricy for a pair of padded steel plates, but I wanted to make sure my dual monitors were not too putting too much stress on such a tiny section of my desk.

I’ve been thinking of getting an arm clamp for mine dual monitor setup. Have people had more success when they use the metal plates to reinforce the clamp area and protect the glass itself?

I have glass top as well but you can use it and then install mount

Have an LG 48” and ergotron arm.
Got this reinforcement plate, no issues.

Huanuo sells a steel reinforcement plate that you can use for the clamp, it goes on both sides of the desk. I use this same monitor arm and their clamp on a Linnmon and it's been good for over a year, alternatively I've heard people use wood on each side.
Here's the Plate.
Make sure your desktop is a solid material. You've tagged your post IKEA but I'm not sure what surface that is, and many are a light honeycomb with wood around the edges. Monitor arms punch straight through this unless you use spreaders for the pressure.
Get whatever arm you want and use this reinforcement plate, possibly adding some wooden blocks the same thickness as the metal lip on either side of the metal lip (kinda to picture what you’re referring to with this lip)
I have a glass table and put a wood block on top like you, and underside of the desk...as a temporary measure. now I have a pair of steel plates. They're sturdier than the wood blocks and a little more professional looking being that they're black. As an aside, they have a spongy rubber/felt material between the metal and glass to keep the glass a little safer. This is the one I got
I had the same fears as you when i was looking into arms, I have the same desk. i bought metal support plates that distribute the weight much better. plates
If you're not up for upgrading your desktop, they sell these desktop reinforcement plates to protect weaker desktops. Works well for my Linmon top with dual 27 inch monitors. Haven't tried with triple however.
I’m using 3 singles on my ikea iddasen and they seem fine, but it’s only been a month.
I got the reinforcement plates, but they’re big and ugly. I figure I’ll take my chances and if the desk breaks I’ll put a plate over it to hide the damage. Seems silly to spend 60 bucks to protect a 100 dollar table top.
These would probably help you and the bamboo though.

$100 budget? That won't even cover the table top for a "decent" desk. For reference, I just spent a total of $805.71 on a new desk for my home office/battlestation setup, all based on IKEA parts. Sorry, no suggestions under $100 come to mind aside from the Linnmon, and you'll want reinforcement for your monitor mount because those Linnmon's are pretty much a hollow, laminated, 1/8-inch thick shell. It'll do in a pinch, but start planning and budgeting for your upgrade now. I use this for my monitor mount reinforcement (three 10-pound, 24" AOC's) Amazon.com : HUANUO Steel Monitor Mount Reinforcement Plate for Thin, Glass and Other Fragile Tabletop, Steel Bracket Plate Fits Most Monitor Stand C Clamp Installation : Office Products
I also had an ikea linnmon desktop with a dual monitor mount. It deformed the top of the desk and would have broken through if I hadn't noticed them sagging. I had the 79"x24" linnmon with an Asus PG279Q and a Dell U2715H (both are 27") in a stacked configuration.
You might be able to get away with sandwiching two pieces of wood/metal (eg. something like this) between the top and bottom so that the force is distributed over a larger area. I opted to buy a different desk rather than risking my expensive monitors.
You'll need something like this to spread the pressure when using with glass
They actually make a mount for this exact issue: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CK24TCX/
If you're worried get some reinforcement plates. You can find some on Amazon
What about something like this?
This won’t solve everything, but when I had a flimsy desk, this helped me mount an Ultrawide + another monitor:
If you cheapen out, get this mount/brace.

I have an Idasen with a dual arm monitor mount + a separate mount for my laptop and it's been working out great. I was also a little worried about how strong the desktop would be, but with a reinforcement plate, I've had no issues.
These are the mounts & plate I've been using:
Reinforcement plate
Dual Mount
Single Mount
Bought metal plates to reiforce desk. No ragrats. Squeezed the ever loving shit out of the mount on my particle board desk, no problemos.
Here's links, I haven't gotten to that part yet...

DeskHaus all the way if you want a 4 leg desk that's built like a tank, but as others have noted you may still end up with the sagging because of the top you're using. If you have a frame you already like, I'd look at replacing the top instead. Go with a butcher block top from Lowe's if you have the time/skills/tools to finish it, or buy an HPL top from DeskHaus (e.g.30x60 Urban Oak top on sale for $220)
No matter what top you have, I recommend steel reinforcement plates for your monitor arm to spread the load out over a larger surface area. Maybe worth trying that first and see if that resolves the issues you're having with your current top.
same here have a heavy 10kg msi ultrawide and have it on an Ikea Malm desk (honeycomb filling) but used a reinforcement plate, this one - https://www.amazon.co.uk/HUANUO-Monitor-Reinforcement-Tabletop-Installation/dp/B08CK24TCX/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=huanuo+monitor+arm+plate&qid=1630235796&sr=8-3 , and has been fine for a couple months now. I do have it fully extended out all the time as well :)
The c clamp is sitting on the desk frame, an addition I used these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CK24TCX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_7SFCMTFY9FQNHZR50S97?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This should give your mount more support so it doesnt wobble.
I appreciate your concern. Using these reinforcement plates.
Those tops are literally filled cardboard.
If you had absolutely no other choice then using these two together wouldn't be the worst idea. Though I would probably just use the monitor's stand with a leg underneath.

Basically, you want to distribute the weight over a larger area, so using a piece of wood would work. If you want something nicer looking, they make metal plates that should work as well.
Hello,
I have the same table but i bought the following:
Rubber pad - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CK24TCX/ref=crt_ewc_title_dp_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A177XTH6CJABI8 (fits but not really, would not recommend it for this table)
After receiving these items, I realized I needed more clearance from the back. I am looking to return the monitor arm and potentially the rubber pad.

I did come across this post https://www.reddit.com/r/StandingDesk/comments/ej7kim/finally_got_my_tresanti_standing_desk_all_dialed/ and someone got their setup to work.

Can i ask did you get your setup to work and can you provide photos of how your mount looks under the table?

Thank
You can try using this to protect the glass and provide more stability for the clamp/mount.

IMO you're barking up the wrong tree. You shouldn't be hunting for a thin-friendly desk mount, but rather some way to reinforce the desk. Something like this:
I had the same concern before upgrading to a monitor arm--my Jarvis bamboo desktop is only 3/4" thick--but the stand that comes with the G9 just takes up so much space that it had to go. Luckily, I found a product that completely alleviates my concern:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CK24TCX/
It may seem a tad expensive for what it is, but it's got a reassuring heft to it that leaves no doubt as to its ability to distribute the weight of the monitor+arm over a much larger surface area. I highly recommend something similar for anyone using a desk arm with their G9. Not a huge price to pay for peace of mind.
Maybe you could try getting one of these to support your desk
