https://www.amazon.co.uk/Honeywell-HT900E1-HT900E-Turbo-Fan/dp/B001VEJFT6 I have one of those, moves an absurd amount of air for its size/noise, I sometimes open a window on truly still days and point it outwards (if air is cooler outside than inside) and it definitely helps (based on the graph of CPU temps I have for my desktop).
It sucks though, buying a house next year and I’ve already budgeted for AC.
No worries :)
You could also use a small fan either on the floor or a nearby surface (heck you can wall mount 'em). I plan to get one to help with orientating my position so I know which way is north/foward (whilst keeping me cool!).
I've been doing my research over the past week and come across all sorts of tid bits xD Planning to pull the trigger after Vivecon!
Thanks all... I went for this one in the end:
Was tempted by the Vornado, but they are really price over here in the uk (around £90 all in on amazon) - so i went for the most cost effective Honeywell at £25.
Hoping this was a good option but time will tell...
Cheers for all the advice!
A fan is the best way, Amazon has loads of great ones.
I got this a couple weeks back for VR and it's worked exactly what I wanted it for, very powerful fan, great value.

I was planning on going with a couple of these myself, but hot damn they look pricey on there. They're like $20 CDN here. I think the key for immersive winds is a fan with a physical switch. These ones are essentially on or off, but they also have 3 possible speeds still based on physical switch placement.

Maybe my conversions are off but I would personally look at a local hardware store as opposed to Amazon.
Open window and a circulator fan. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Honeywell-HT900E1-HT900E-Turbo-Fan/dp/B001VEJFT6
Here’s a pic that should explain the back to frontiness of the settings knob haha:
And here’s the actual product:
Honeywell TurboForce Power Fan (Quiet Operation Cooling, 90° Variable Tilt, 3 Speed Settings, Wall Mount Feature, Table Fan) HT900E https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001VEJFT6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MH5AT7VAJYY5HG5SR7JH?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It truly is a beast of a fan for its size, only daft thing about it is how the settings are configured being back to front. I have it on the opposite side of my living room facing me and only ever use the lowest setting which is more than enough to keep you comfortable. And it is quite quiet on the lowest and medium settings, though the main reason why this settings config can be a bit of an issue for me is that the high setting can be a bit loud (which is understandable really as it really does get ripping) and because you can’t turn it off without passing through high mode before it turns off… it sometimes shuts my dog daft when she’s asleep in the room and I go to switch it off lol. Other than that, it’s as powerful as other fans maybe 6 times it’s size, so was still a good buy… just a silly setup.
I got one of these Honeywell fans which move a good volume of air for something quite compact. They're quite cheap on Amazon too.
I place the fan and my laptop on top of an ironing board, in front of my bike.
On the middle setting its quiet, on full blast there's some noise but its more of a hum.
