I got a burl one at a pipe shop a long time ago, you could probably find one of those easily online, I have also seen glass versions but I've also never seen one of those last more than a year before breaking due to being so comically long and chinese
EDIT: $20 on amazon good? or are you set on glass?
DOUBLE EDIT: or how about just the straight up real thing
It's a Missouri Meerschaum Country Gentleman with a bend stem. https://corncobpipe.com/country-gentleman-corncob-pipe.html
Or from their Amazon vendor for 10$ Missouri Meerschaum - Country Gentleman Corn Cob Tobacco Pipe - Bent Bit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006SOFY3K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_P9n7BbYR688JR
I'm thinking if it's like a regular cob style stem then it is pencil thin compared to some of the better crafted and girthier ones you get with a traditional briar pipe. I usually take my cobs a little deeper as well or it puts too much pressure on my teeth. I'd say try slapping a rubber on that bad boy and seeing if it's more comfortable to clench normally. Or try to get a pipe with a wider almost mushroom-like tip that spreads the pressure out a little more. You'll be surprised how gently you can hold a pipe in your mouth when it's just the right shape.
I got these, they came with a little tin which I use to store some of the little bits like O rings etc
Anyone know where I can find church warden pipe stems? I reshaped this block but want some different stems and I’m having trouble finding some. Thanks!

What's the weight of this bronze one?
Bro, I just tried this and it works like a charm! I just smoked an $80 cigar and hated to end the nub when I remembered your post. I got another $20 worth this method, lol!
You can get a really great cob pipe at Amazon for only $12.95 Here
Definitely don't need to replace every time, but could help to soak in alcohol/cocnut oil once they get gummed up.
Using the finer mesh in the cooling unit prevents plant material being drawn into the cooling unit better, I swapped to the finest early on and haven't looked back. To be honest I don't know why they include the others, maybe for substances with larger clumps where tiny particles aren't a problem?
These screens are usually suggested when people ask for recommendations. I've got some and they're decent, not as good as the originals but not far off, plus they come in a nice tin which is nice.
Just checking you know about relaiming 'honey' from the cooling unit? Some of the vapour condenses inside the CU, and after a while you can scrape it off and eat it/dab it/smoke it/boof it. It's very potent, so be careful! On top (or instead) of this, you can disassemble the CU, soak/shake everything other than the holographic logo part in warm coconut oil to clean. A lot of people use the same coconut oil to clean their CU a few times, then use the 'dirty' coconut oil to make edibles, stir it into hot drinks etc. As with the reclaimed 'honey', this is way more potent that you'd expect, so be careful! You can also do the above with different kinds of high-percentace alcohol but you risk degrading some of the materials in the CU.
Yup, just like the first picture. My BIL bought the one I am carving. I will say that Briar is not really carvable. It is much too dense for my knives. That's why I carved a separate piece of wood and glued it on. The shaping of the pipe was done with a Dremel. In hindsight, I should have heavily taped the mouth piece as I did scratch it.

I guess you are reffering to something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Hydrostone-Natural-Terracotta-Humidifying-Tobacco/dp/B00HFYX92U
Does the stone actually work, have you tried it yourself? I read that the humidity packet is suppose to bring moisture back into the weed as well (which is why I bought that mason jar with the packet) but so far its been 3-4 days and its still dry if not drier then before.
I've been smoking cigars for the past 8 months. I wanted to try pipes to change up my rotation. I have a few questions:
Bought a corn cob pipe from Amazon since it was one of the cheapest I found with good reviews. Is this good enough to start off with? I also got a pipe tool and pipe cleaners as they were frequently bought together.
Local shop sold me a pouch of Captain black gold. He said it was mild and non flavored. I don't really like infused/flavored cigars, but I smoked a few to start since that's what people always recommend. I learned quickly that staright tobacco flavor is what I enjoy. Any other recommendations coming from someone smoking medium bodied cigars?
How do I store pipe tobacco? Do they need to be properly humidified like cigars? Is it okay to keep them in the pouch they came in?
I watched a few videos on how to light it. It looks pretty straight forward. Similar to cigars, you don't want to draw too fast and too frequently as to not heat it up too much and nuke the flavors. Do you puff every minute or so like cigars to keep them lit? Or does it depend on how you pack it? If I have to put down the pipe for say a few hours, is it still good to relight? For cigars, you can cut off the ash and expose fresh tobacco and relight it as usual.
What's the smoke time typically? Any issues with packing halfway for shorter smokes, like for lunch breaks or when it's really cold outside?
That’s a good point, I never considered that it would be a safe glue.
I order my MM from Amazon, does this seem legit

I was just wondering because some people on Amazon were like “you are smoking glue and paint” and these are Chinese knockoffs etc.
This is the pipe I bought.

I just bought a Mr. Brog briar block with a straight stem from Amazon.
Here's a link, but the straight stem is currently not available in briar: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009SYZN7E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_qmlxCbPWC7TWM.
There are no instructions, but I watched several YouTube videos.
Here's the best video I found: https://youtu.be/-K6eSxTywIQ.
Edit: Spelling correction.
With this talk of "shortening" my reign I have decided that you shall be given a fate far worse than death. From now on you will only be allowed to smoke from this.

Picked this one up a couple years back. Ultra cheap, pretty durable, massive bowl (as it's intended for tobacco), filter is incredibly hard to clean so I just removed it. Best of luck!
Makes sense. thanks for explaining it to me.
This is the pipe we were planning on getting by the way.
Here you go! Worth every penny. Performs and feels pretty well too...this'll hold me off until I can get an actual wood one from the same company.
