This is my goto recommendation for anyone wanting to dip their toe into mech keyboards without breaking the bank.
Has so many extras that other manufacturers charge for.
Doubleshot PBT caps
Keycap Puller
Switch Puller
Per key assignable RGB (must download their software for free, software isn't terrible)
NO solder hot swappable (Outemu) switches and yes you CAN mix and match blue, brown, red, etc.
Comes with 4 extra switches in the box
Throw in some Pudding Caps / still on sale for $18 and this keyboard looks DOPE AF.
Alright ladies and gents, this is a pretty good deal. Cherry MX Brown, full-size completely standard 108 key layout, and RGB. No PBT Keycaps, but that's OK at this price point. The Cooler Master software is light and easy to use, or you don't have to use it and you can use the keyboards shortcuts to do the same thing.
I personally purchased this on Massdrop for $75 shipped, which was a killer deal, but this is a good price for Amazon.
I'm using the HyperX Pudding-style PBT doubleshot keycaps on mine, and they work and look great.
This is a fantastic keyboard, whether it's your first or fifth. Very solidly built, sleek, and reliable. Not too much of a gamer aesthetic.
Make sure you clip the 5% coupon for an additional $5 off, bringing it down to $94.99 in checkout.
Ayyyy classic K95 bros ✊🏽
Looks good to me! I bought these HyperX keycaps for like 15 bucks last year and they fit perfectly on this keyboard
edit: except for the spacebar, windows keys and the menu key, I left the OG corsair ones on those
HyperX Double Shot PBT Keycaps
These are pudding keycaps I recently bought. $18 which is lower than anything else on Amazon right now and from a reputable brand.
I'm looking to put together my first custom mechanical keyboard. (I currently have one that I bought prebuilt, but it started to amortize and produces a lot of chattering/not sending the input, especially on space.)
I have the following requirements:
Base:
- ISO105 layout
- 100% (Full sized)
- Controllable backlight
Switch:
- I have an MX Cherry Red currently, and I absolutely like it - I'm looking for a linear switch.
Keypad:
- I'm looking for something like this, but the thing is, it should be hungarian (with the sleek style, supporting rgb).

Do you have any advice regarding the above? If it's vague, I can provide further details.

I really like the look of these pudding keycaps but I need ones that are blank as I switch between qwerty and dvorak frequently, and I also think they look nicer. Know where I can find them or order them custom? Many thanks.
This is the old version. Looks like the one you're talking about

You can get them on HyperX’s website or Amazon. Im pretty sure they’re at BestBuy too. A few companies make them, I chose the HyperX ones because they were on sale at the time.

/u/Sea_Of_Reposts /u/myyrddraal (also hype AF name there Myyrddraal,) actually it is still different than that, Ive moved the arrow keys BECAUSE of the initial modification. I really like the 75% keycool 84 layout because I want a full set of arrow keys and functions while working (developer)
BUT
the fact that the modifier keys on the right aren't standard size so any keycap set I buy doesn't have ones to fit really bothers me. I resized the alt, fn, and shift keys to 1.25u so they are the same size as caps that come with a 104 key OEM kit like the kingston hyperx pudding caps on amazon
THIS WAY (yay!) you can get a regular keycap set and not have 3-4 keys that are missing!!!! my keycool 84 is sitting on my office desk with a full set of puddings and 4 black right modifier keys because they are 1u >:(
Not sure which ones OP has specifically but there are several on Amazon that are all basically the same.
So I'm looking to get a nicer mechanical keyboard. Currently I have one Velocifire Cheapo wireless that cost me $30 and has what I believe are Outemu browns. I also have an Alienware aw568 (Kailh brown).
I'm looking at buying something modular so I can replace keys when I feel like a change and am seriously considering getting the GMMK TKL. The switch options just on the GMMK website were confusing enough but when I started looking for answers, I found out there are a million other switches I can use on the board lol.
From what I have, I like the tactile feel of the outemu, the kailh just seem a little mushy but it feels like th ekailh's are a lot more consistent compared to the outemu's. Could someone recommend me a switch similar to the kailh brown that has slightly more tactile feel? In addition, as a beginner are the $20 keycaps from amazon good for the price? I'm overwhelmed with my choices right now and would appreciate any help!
I think I'm allowed to post this here.
I've got prime so I order from amazon a good deal for shipping.

Very decent DS PBT pudding caps.
Looks super dope if you have a cherry STEM RGB.
OP how much is shipping on these? (if any)
Depending on shipping it might just be better to get them on sale from Amazon for $18 with free shipping.
Not from Vortex. They are of HyperX brand. De verdad que si, y tuve suerte porque la misma compañia Redragon estaba vendiendo esos keycaps en oferta, HyperX en amazon tambien las tienen
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JDVG4RQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 these are they keycaps im using, I always wanted pudding key caps. And for the switches I went with Cherry MX Red. I got a switch tester and hated about everyone of them besides reds. I used to have the Corsair K70 Mk.2 low profile with silvers, I loved them but I missed having normal size keys.
Those would look good with the black/white pudding keycaps.

It makes the mediocre lighting look really good. I have the Cherry Reds version of the keyboard with HyperX Pudding Caps (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07JDVG4RQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), the combo is the equivalent price of a Ducky One 2 Mini (in Canada at least) and is 100% more worth.
They're about US$25 brand new on Amazon

damn these look exactly like the pudding caps hyperx sells here, they're almost the exact same price too but the shipping is TEN TIMES THE PRICE for the hyperx ones. Apart from being OEM, I don't see any reason to get the hyperx ones over these! Are they good quality?
Does anyone know if the HyperX pudding keycaps would work on the one 2 mini? Pudding switches look SO NICE, but I'm not sure that the bottom row would be compatible
Thanks :) This is actually the board I have at work right now. I have several custom keyboards I switch between to keep things interesting lol.
These keycaps don't let any light shine through so the RGB isn't super noticeable in the daylight. If you used keycaps with shine through legends, or pudding caps, the RGB lighting would be much more noticeable.
Yes, you can.

I have these that look very similar.
I personally have a gk61 and used to own an OG Anne Pro. If you do any high level/competitive gaming, you might as well get the gk61 because of the Anne Pro's latency forcing you to use it in wired mode.
Most of the GK61 kits on Amazon come with Gateron Opticals which can only be switched for other Gateron Opticals, so beware!!!
I don't know what gk61 kit you mean but here's a rundown (including some modifications you should make):
GK61 (Aliexpress, 49$ Shipped, no Keycaps or Switches)
Some Keycaps (Pudding since I saw you mentioned you liked them, 25$)
Gateron Reds (7 Packs, 2.4$ each for 17$ + Shipping)
Genuine Cherry Stabs (1x6.25u, 4x2u, all plate mount, totaling 10.25$)
You should at least clip these stabs and probably lube them, tutorial here.
Dielectric Grease here(12.67$), Teflon Grease here(12.35$).

You should also consider lubing the switches with 205g0 (9$ plus shipping), tutorial here.

Replacing the stabs is important because the cheap Chinese stabs that come with the kit are god-awful, even clipped, lubed and band-aid modded. Dielectric Grease, Teflon Grease, and Lube will last you longer than this board.

Cost for Board with clipped, unlubed stabilizers and unlubed switches: 101.25 +- shipping. Already slightly better than Anne Pro stab-wise, otherwise on par/ behind Bluetooth wise

Cost for Board with clipped, lubed stabs, unlubed switches: 126.27$ + shipping. Stabilizers will be noticeably better.

Cost for Board with clipped, unlubed stabs and lubed switches: 110.25$ + shipping. Same price as an Anne Pro, way better switch-feel and better stabs.

Cost for Board with clipped, lubed stabs and lubed switches: 135.27 + shipping. More expensive but worth it. Great switch-feel because of the lube and fantastic stabilizers.

Hotswap will allow you to play around with more expensive switches and you should be able to swap cases at some point in the future if you want to do so since the gk61 fits most 60% cases according to kprepublic.
I switched to an OEM profile keycap set for my Glow. That means they aren’t all flat and the same height, but I found the home key bumps to be super useful.
HyperX probably buys the exact same ones. They look 100% the same. They are $20 on Amazon.
u/Johnny_Origami u/rowdy_1c u/destiny811 They actually have a few different brands that make the same pudding style keycap... As far as I can tell, even the font on the keys, and the injection style is the same. I'll link a couple of them down below.
There are a handful of other makers on amazon, however they are probably not ones I'd purchase personally.
Believe they're hyperx double shots I used to have them
Oops they are the hyperx keycaps
The ones on their site look different than what I bought. Mine are here
Got them on Amazon actually
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JDVG4RQ/
I got the Anne pro from amazon, but it’s constantly in and out of stock based on what switches you want (currently all black keyboards are out but white ones are in). If you go on amazon, the seller is Deroui. You can buy from banggood and aliexpress but just know that it’ll be a long wait for shipping from China.
The new battery is linked in a different comment on this post.
I think they sell those on amazon, hyper x: HyperX Double Shot PBT Keycaps - 104 Mechanical Keycap Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JDVG4RQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_rJKzCbETRWXJA
I bought very similar ones from Amazon they're arriving tomorrow! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JDVG4RQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_bqiCCbD6FH9A4

Thanks, my guy! The mousepad is Luxcoms rgb which apparently is not in stock on amazon. The keyboard is HyperX Alloy FPS RGB. You’ll have to buy the Doubleshot PBT keycaps separately.

The HyperX ones have a pretty simple font, and they're only $20 on Amazon right now https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Double-Shot-PBT-Keycaps/dp/B07JDVG4RQ/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2I12E9QIDPUSI&keywords=hyperx+keycaps&qid=1566270006&s=gateway&sprefix=hyperx+key%2Caps%2C153&sr=8-1
Yup; I'm using HyperX Doubleshot PBT Keycaps
amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Double-Shot-PBT-Keycaps/dp/B07JDVG4RQ
I'm also looking for a set of grey backlit keycaps, they're proving elusive thus far. HyperX makes some pretty decent budget pudding caps in either black or white: https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Double-Shot-PBT-Keycaps/dp/B07JDVG4RQ/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=hyperx+pudding+keycaps&qid=1601409940&sr=8-2
I'm using the white ones on my cheap starter board rn and I'm loving them.
The first Key was one of the WASD keys, so I just replaced it with the silver textured one that came with the keyboard (Alloy Elite RGB) and thought it was just bad luck. But now a 2nd key has broken off - and the keyboard is out of warranty by now, so is anyone else able to find replacement key caps for these? I didn't think a 140.00 keyboard would break this quickly, but its the first one I've ever bought that wasn't a cheap membrane style, but it is the first I've had with this type of issue.
The plastic they use to make the caps must be far more brittle than the norm or something.

== Edit ==

Is it more durable than the keys that come with the keyboard? I kind of like the look of them, if they're compatible. 2nd Edit-- Just found out the new keyboards actually come WITH these "pudding" keys! Well, at Least I am sure they're compatible now. Ordered, so I guess I just have to wait a few weeks since they're out of stock.
Hopefully these are a little more durable than the originals :(
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JDVG4RQ/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza will these keys fit the UHK?
https://ultimatehackingkeyboard.com/layout-and-keycaps#keycap-sets here is the layout
These are the only PBT keycaps I can get easily on emag, which is like amazon for Romania.
I really don't understand how to make sense of this information, but if the keycaps will fit the majority of the keys, that's fine with me. I.e. if I can't get a fit for a small few of the unique keys, like the weird shaped space bar, it's not the end of the world for me. I don't care much about the aesthetics so the board can look weird and mismatched and I'm cool with that. I also have a spare Magicforce 80% -- will those keys work? I won't need the board anymore once I get a new one.
Really out of my element here, so I appreciate the advice. ty!
They’re the HyperX double shot PBT caps. here they are on amazon

Hi, I have a Krom Kernel TKL which I bought yesterday, I've never had a mechanical keyboard before but it's pretty cool. I have Outemu Red switches and I was just wondering if the HyperX Double Shot keycaps will work with it? And how do I know if keycaps are compatible?
PS: I have the spanish layout, with ñ

Got em off amazon, they're the hyperx doubleshot pbt pudding keycaps:
If you haven't already and want to replace those keycaps, take a look into this link https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JDVG4RQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The problem with corsair is that they have a non-standard bottom row (weird space bar) so it's hard to find a good keycap set that matches the spacebar (unless you just buy more corsair keycaps).
If you want some good keycaps, I'm thinking about https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Double-Shot-PBT-Keycaps/dp/B07JDVG4RQ/ref=sr_1_3?crid=SNI4734Q9DQI&keywords=pudding+keycaps&qid=1565491213&s=electronics&sprefix=pudding+keyc%2Celectronics%2C192&sr=1-3 . They're pretty good and I used them on my K70 back when I still had it. Made from PBT so they're a bit tougher and thicker too.
If you want a new keyboard recommendation, my recommendation would be to find a keyboard that has silent switches (like Silent reds or blacks), that is, if you like the feel of linears. Gateron browns would probably be your best bet for a switch that is "tactile" yet still pretty quiet, though I think by your description of your typing they'll still be pretty loud because of your bottoming out. Maybe investing in some O-rings might help you out.
These savings aren't just Black and White.

They're sold under all kind of names. They're all the same. Hyperx for example is common one.

They come in several versions. Black top white sides, white top pink sides, white top white sides.
White top white sides: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PCJLFTF/
As for the swedish layout you'll either have to use stickers like you said, or maybe try to remember locations.
I got these ones, but they're all the same for the most part. The light blue keycaps and spacebar didn't come included, and came from a cheap miami set I got previous.

Many like to pair with these caps.
HyperX sells them, only problem is the fn and page button dont fit properly :( you can see it in the pic right and decide if u care that much abt it lol
HyperX doesn't make white pudding keycaps, they make black pudding keycaps and translucent white shine through keycaps but not white keycaps with translucent sides.
I'm almost certain that you are referring to the following hyperx keycaps:
HyperX Double Shot PBT Keycaps - 104 Mechanical Keycap Set - Black & White Pudding - Durable - HyperX Mechanical Keyboard Compatible - OEM Profile - 2 Year Warranty (HXS-KBKC3) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JDVG4RQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_yVIQCbKXE8Y3R
I know this because I have been looking for white pudding keycaps for nearly a year or more due to the fact that I personally prefer white or RGB mechanical keyboards and black keycaps with one of them would look stupid. Fortunately ymdk just recently as in a month ago released white pudding keycaps (perhaps due to my many many many emails requesting them to do that over the last year).

Not necessarily hyper x, just the design, I think they'd look really cool with your build.
Kind of looks like the HyperX Keycaps
I'm wondering if the Coolermaster L RGB keyboard would work with these HyperX Double Shot PBT Keycaps.

The direct opposite of these exits, they are called pudding keys, and they are made of PBT.
