If you don't want/need the extra buttons on the G502 but still want a solid inexpensive mouse, you could always check out the HyperX Pulsefire Haste at just $24.99.
Very different mice. And shape preference is unique to the person.

Very good bang for buck mouse. Get that if you want a backup and a different shape won't bother you. Otherwise just get a g502 clone.
I was literally just looking at it on Amazon... It's $26.95 on my local Amazon website, so it's pretty well priced. I think it'll be the right size for my hand, I'll have to check it out at a store so I don't buy it and then find out it's uncomfortable 😅 Thank you
I recently picked up the HyperX Pulsefire Haste and have been really loving it. I was put off of Razer because my two previous mice from them each lasted less than a year and everyone on here complaining about the Logitech double click issues made me stay away from them.

Razer viper and pulsefire haste and both similar shape and specs wise, and cheaper:
Save up more and get the pro anyway since it has a much better sensor. Core has the same high LOD as the Viper Mini, only brought it up since it's one of very few options in that price range with a hump near the back.
the hyperx haste can be found in some areas for $30 USD and has a much better cable, but no hump at the back https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Pulsefire-Haste-Ultra-Lightweight-Programmable/dp/B08NSJFNSS/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1SNXDMKEGUUYV&keywords=hyperx+pulsefire+haste&qid=1661891796&sprefix=hyperx+pulsefire+hast%2Caps%2C182&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1

look at the model O or the pulsefire haste

maybe get pulsefire haste or viper mini instead
