Not sure if anyone else has wanted/needed a little more height on any of their cabs, but I just put my Pac-Man legacy cab on this and it’s a great improvement! It was easy to slap together, and it goes with the black riser. I wish I had done this sooner.
The issue is mostly for those 6ft and above.
However, using one of these raises the whole cabinet up by just about 5 inches and eliminates the perspective issue:
Look at this under each of his a1ups in the background:

Raises the whole unit up securely by upto 4.75" & eliminates the sightline issues for most. A lot of us here use these on all my cabs. I have the same marquee for a custom Galaga cab I made using a pacman 40th and these risers are a must have: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08SKV5PVM/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_7VVBQKTRHRJ8XR11SW87?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Now get one of these for it and thank me later ;-P

I'm tall and this somehow gets it up to a comfortable height to play.
> I listen to the Soundtrack at work.
How you haven't been committed to a nuthouse yet is a miracle.
I have the cab and have been running it through its paces. I love MvC2 and have put at least 1,000 hours into playing it in the arcade, DC and XBLA. I got to the level of right up to, but not at, tournament level.
With the riser and this, my 6' 4" ass is somehow at the perfect height to play on this. I was shocked. I figured I would be doing The Stance all day but not needed. The width is definitely lacking though, so if you want to have friends over, it'll be a tight squeeze. People have been making replacement A1U CPs that are wider and more what we're used to, and this will be the case for this cab.
The weight of the cab is just good enough. It doesn't rock much at all (again, 6' 4" mongoloid playing on it). If it's a concern, a sandbag in the riser will fully address any concerns you have.
The screen is only 17" but it's a good quality panel. No ghosting or brightness issues. The sound is clear and normal sounding.
I modded the controls with IL sticks and buttons. I did give the stock sticks a spin and they weren't bad (other reports coming in agree with this assessment). The buttons however are soft and not responsive. If you mod one thing, swap out the buttons (which is very, very easy to do).
No one can really say anything about the netcode - it hasn't been released. Their NFL Blitz cab is in the same state too. The only thing we have is a comment from Justin Wong in a YT video that the netcode is 80% of the way there and to use an ethernet cable with the cab.
As far as actual play, I detect no lag and I'm able to play like I was on my DC - performing combos and DHCs without issue. Oddly, in the same video as above, JWong was playing the cab at the end of the video and clearly having issues performing combos. Recently, a group put out a patch to earlier cabinets addressing lag by entirely rewriting the driver for the control panel. I am wondering if A1U pinched that patch and applied to their own code.
As far as the people making these youtube videos button mashing... remember that this is the most casual release of MvC2 in a decade. It's just how it's going to be but you will find people on your level before you know it.

I currently have this base below on the sitdown it works pretty well for the screen steering/wheel section. The only caveat is that you have to get a little creative on blocking the pedals from going under the base.

These risers are what I use for mine. They also make a set with wheels.
