A cracker just cracks the charger and releases the gas, you need a balloon for it. Dispensers are used for actually making whipped cream and can hold gas.

A cheap Aluminum 500 ml dispenser works fine, but I’ve had issues with the piece that punctures the charger occasionally causing some chargers to blast N2O out of the side instead of releasing it into the dispenser, when I used a cheaper one, so idk YMMV

They seem to have increased in price overall (from 20-22$), but other brands are still selling them for 27$ or so.

Isi is the best known brand, so everything they sell has a markup (chargers and dispenser) but honestly the baseline functionality is always the same. Not much to be gained with paying a premium. Just make sure to thoroughly cleanse the interior and valves which can get grimy.

It's called a whippet because you buy the gas to make homemade whipped cream cans really easily and use those to get high. You feel super light headed for a few minutes. Very bad for you. Example below. I did them way too often back in the day

lol dude. Okay... lets take this point by point:

First of all, you don't have to 'fashion a device' to use more than one canister at a time. You just need a whipped cream dispenser. They're fairly widely available and I'm honestly quite stumped that someone such as yourself who has so much experience with NOS cannisters hasn't seen one used in this way before. Most people I know will use one over a 'cracker' (I'm assuming this is what you mean by 'device') any day. And I would say that you might be using that wrong... you're not supposed to take the hit straight from a cracker, its too much gas to breath in all at once coming straight out of the canister, you're probably wasting a lot and this is why your hit isn't as strong. Its supposed to be used in conjunction with a balloon although using balloons comes with its own choking hazards.

So back to the dispenser... In case you're unable to piece together the process on your own:

1. Dispense 1 or more cannisters into the dispenser
2. Take a lung-full from the dispenser and hold your breath for as long as possible

I have also had 'gas and air' and the key component as to why it doesn't knock you for six is the 'air' part. When you go to the dentist or have it in a medical setting then the supply of NOS in that air stream is highly regulated and they can take you from 'a bit woozy' to 'knocked the fuck out' if they wish to. Usually, in dentistry they try to strike a happy medium where you're not seeing stars but you also cannot feel as much pain.

Thirdly, I've had hits so strong that you kind of go in on yourself and need to lie back. I can totally see a situation where someone ends up sitting back, giggling and inadvertently rolling in something at the same time.

i don't even like whipped cream, but i can tell you home made whipped cream using a specialty dispenser and NO2 is vastly superior to the store bought-- but it doesn't last long, so only really practical if you're hosting a party or something that calls for a lot of whipped cream

the hallucinations are definitely MDMA dose-responsive and amplified by cannabis :) my weirder ones have happened at the 130mg-150mg range - I hallucinated a circle of towering shadow figures standing over my bed, silhouetted by a psychedelic tapestry backdrop. intricate visuals. scary for any other experience but the shadow figures had a protective vibe. It's typically the higher end (up to 160mg) that I'll start having those complete reality replacing hallucinations, and usually just need to be shaken out of it. never fun to feel like you are working when you are just in bed coming off of drugs hahaja

nitrous is the BEST! (for casual use - great synergy with most substances, and awesome for MDMA comedown). if you are in the US, you can get a dispenser on amazon for about $30 (which can last years if maintained), and a box of 100 chargers (plenty to last for a small gathering, but they do disappear quick haha) for ~$50. Nitrous is also available at sex shops, but will be significantly more expensive.
