There's a book that goes into this feeling.
I'm just being a little cheeky.
We all have separate interests, so it isn't likely your girlfriend will adopt all of yours--just as you would not adopt all of hers. Respect and validation of your interests is really all you can ask, and way more than what many get. Certainly you can see if she would like to be invited into your interest, but if she's not into it then it falls into your "me" time instead of "we" time. It's a natural inclination (you're not alone in this), but maybe explore exactly what she's doing in listening to you talk about something she doesn't have a personal interest/understanding in--it's for you. Intentionally. This is a gift of her time and attention so that she can be supportive of you. I'm not saying that she gets nothing out of it--a feeling of intimacy perhaps in sharing that moment. Please make sure to do the same in return when available. You do not need to live in each other's back pockets to enjoy a healthy intimate relationship.
> To all the dummies perplexed at there being veggies in a donut shop. There are many donut shops that also do bagels. When places have bagels they often do sandwiches and salads.
Sounds like If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.
Does anyone else recall the children’s book If You Give A Mouse A Cookie?
I always mentally make the reference in situations like this. But unsurprisingly very few adults know what the heck I’m talking about.
Yes I am. Illegals have no right to vote or participate in anything, full stop. Allow me to point you to this treatise on what happens when you let liberals push something small, like a school board election.
> Now you have poor uneducated people that are angry, that will quickly think in a group collective thanks to the wonders of the internet, and have literally nothing to lose, committing violence in order to get their way
That's already happening both here and in Europe. They'll always want more, which they'll use to make more of themselves.
This classic work of political allegory is worth a read.
Yes.
I don't know if this is accessible to you, but Amazon's used books are a great place when thrift stores and used book stores fail.

One good place to start would be to create some routes to views. Take a look in your app/routes.php file. You likely still have the default one routing to a controller with a view response. The view will be stored in the app/views directory. Try playing around with changing some basic HTML so at least you can visually see the changes.
From there you might want to look at the routing docs and add some more routes to your router.php file.
From there you might want to enter your MySQL database info in the app/config/database.php file and take a look at how to use Eloquent to make queries to a table.
This will likely lead you into how models work.
