Those are bumper quick releases, It's a JDM thing but a lot of guys break the tabs holding the edge of the bumpers on: Like this from amazon
All arguing about stance aside, those bumpers are made to do that. They aren't bolted onto the frame/body they are held on by quick release fasteners. I'm only mentioning it because I just learned about these yesterday. The guy probably was expecting something like this to happen if he had those on there.
Some are for sale here if you don't know what I'm talking about: http://www.amazon.com/iJDMTOY-Finish-Release-Fasteners-Bumpers/dp/B00JJYPATO
Yeah these 8th generation civics have notoriously bad front front bumpers.
That particular has an FD2/Acura CSX front end and unfortunately if you want to do the conversion for it, you’ll need these from the respective car:
Front fenders
Hood
Headlights
Bumper
Grill
Headlight brackets
Radiator cover
Otherwise you’ll have to just do what a lot of us 8th gen civic owners do (including the guy in the pic) and buy a quick release bumper kit
I have started to notice a trend (perhaps it has always been there and I missed it) Of older subaru's having the rubber bumper holder on each ends of the bumper.
Is this just trendy or do they have issues with the bumper falling off? or is it because you always have to take your bumpers off for some reason?
just curious because I have not yet had to take the bumper off my 2015+ wrx or my NA outback and it has never tried to fall off on me.
similar to the one you have and this:
