Can confirm /u/whatever_dad 's post , I purchased this and put it on my J Mascis Squier, very close fit, no drilling, and inexpensive. The only thing I'd say is that the rhythm circuit knobs are buried a bit since they mount the same and you're essentially switching from a one ply to a 3 ply pickguard but I don't mind it at all. It keeps me from adjusting them accidentally. Since the gold pickguard was insulated I bought copper tape and insulated the new one, though I don't know if I really needed to.
I got the mint one and it was lighter than the photos on Amazon but looks great with the "vintage white" of the body. I took my gold pickguard off because I didn't like the thunk it made when I hit it with my pick.
3 Ply Jazzmaster Pickguard - Mint
I covered the back with copper foil tape for shielding.
The cutouts for the rhythm circuit weren’t perfect, had to trim a little to get the switch to fully slide into position.
Mine also had 2 layers of protective film. Thought the finish was messed up before I noticed the second layer.
For $12, can’t go wrong.
I assume you’re talking about the mint one? I picked both that and the aged pearloid for this pink one off of a company on amazon. I think the quality is great for the price, the celluloid looks fantastic in person and the construction is solid. However I definitely do NOT recommend the tort guards they have. They look like super cheap screen prints of tort patterns.
