what I did in my 2015 S was get.a USB-powered dongle that converted the phone's bluetooth out to an FM station the radio played.
something like this:
it worked for the most part. Good for podcasts, not very good for music
Pro tip... try a bluetooth to FM transmitter. I had one a while ago, and they are very convenient. The one below isn't the one I have experience with... just a generic one that popped up on amazon when I searched for it.
Bluetooth FM Transmitter for Car, QC3.0 Wireless Bluetooth FM Radio Adapter Music Player Car Kit with Hands Free Calling and 2 USB Ports Charger Support USB Flash Drive https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F2RTN5Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_n33WBb1TZ92NK
+1 on the Bluetooth cig lighter adapter. You can get one that's the size of a standard cig lighter USB charger.
I have a 2004 Toyota Camry that I use a Bluetooth wireless adapter for. My car has a 12v outlet in the center console so I plug it in there and never see it and it is out of the way. When I start my car it automatically pairs and I hit play and all good to go. Here is the exact one I ordered that has never given me any issues.
Try an FM radio bluetooth transmitter. Basically it connects to your phone via bluetooth, and then connects to the car with an FM radio connection (you set the car to a certain radio frequency and it picks up from the adapter). I've never tried this myself but have heard the audio quality is great.
You don't have to get the one I linked-- there are many different ones on Amazon.
Bluetooth FM Transmitter for Car, 5.0 Wireless Bluetooth FM Radio Adapter Music Player /Car Kit and 2 USB Ports Charger Support USB Drive https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F2RTN5Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2GHZG0F6FEPVGQ1ZVVYM
This is the one I have 100% worth it
I have approximately this. IMDEN Bluetooth 5.0 FM Transmitter for Car, 3.0 Wireless Bluetooth FM Radio Adapter Music Player FM Transmitter/Car Kit with Hands-Free Calling and 2 USB Ports Charger Support USB Drive https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F2RTN5Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_i_KTN2CED313Z7DVKP8218
Works well using the FM stereo.
Get one of those Bluetooth adapters that you plug into your electrical outlet. Then tune your radio to the channel that the adapter says, and then you’ve got wireless(and CD-less) music
Limited-time deal: IMDEN Bluetooth 5.0 FM Transmitter for Car, 3.0 Wireless Bluetooth FM Radio Adapter Music Player FM Transmitter/Car Kit with Hands-Free Calling and 2 USB Ports Charger Support USB Drive https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F2RTN5Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_dl_JG809JENJB36E12BEG9T
What you can do is buy one of those FM radio Bluetooth transmitters. I purchased one and it works great. Some of them are really cheap and will produce a more static sound, but the one I have works and sounds great.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F2RTN5Z/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_JSGP09R7QZYMAY5DEW66
Just get one on of these. You plug it in and it connects your Bluetooth signal and then broadcasts the signal to a radio station signal of your choice. I’ve got one in my xc90 and it works like a dream. https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-FM-Transmitter-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B07F2RTN5Z/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=14MVKBCNIXA6V&keywords=bluetooth+to+radio+adapter+for+car&qid=1637879798&sprefix=bluetooth+to+radio%2Caps%2C139&sr=8-4
I have no idea, but why not go the bluetooth route?
I have no idea if that one is good, but you get the idea.
I don't have much to add but this -

Use a bluetooth audio to FM radio USB charger - you dont have to use it's bt to fm feature, just connecting to it would be all you need. Use one of these:
Before I upgraded my stereo, a simple $20 bluetooth fm transmitter worked well for me. Here’s a nice small one that plugs into the cigarette lighter and doesn’t take much space. Limited-time deal: IMDEN Bluetooth 5.0 FM Transmitter for Car, 3.0 Wireless Bluetooth FM Radio Adapter Music Player FM Transmitter/Car Kit with Hands-Free Calling and 2 USB Ports Charger Support USB Drive https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F2RTN5Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_dl_VHNQCA6NV5TZ7J3NYYJZ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I got one that looks just like this one off Amazon (the product page for the one I ordered is gone but there’s a bunch of nearly identical ones with different names and colors).
It actually work surprisingly well in my truck - quickly and reliably connects, sounds perfectly decent (better than cassette adapter and slightly better than actual FM radio but not quite as good as a real aux input or a decent Bluetooth headunit and a quality stream) and doesn’t even run the battery down if I forget to unplug it. Very convenient, handy little thing.
Oh gotcha. I’d recommend something like this that you can plug into the outlet in the car and it works as a Bluetooth receiver but then broadcasts over a local radio station so that your car can listen to it
I used FORScan to enable the settings and hooked up the correct wires in the back of the stereo but couldn't get it to work. The solution for me...a $20 Bluetooth FM transmitter. The sound quality is excellent, it's wireless, and allows voice commands from my phone.

Shoot, I updated my link. Originally put my charger for a car that had built in Bluetooth.

The mic works pretty well for calls too.
I would think about a radio transmitter like this:
As long as your radio works
You could use an FM transmitter that plugs into the cigarette lighter port in your car or install an aftermarket radio.
> I’m pretty sure there’s no ports to hook up my phone to the car’s sound system
https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-FM-Transmitter-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B07F2RTN5Z
For sure man, the 996 journey is for a very specific type of person but when it hits it’s unreal. I’d love to tell you things to look out for if you’re interested.
I don’t think so honestly, I got a $17 Bluetooth fm adapter off of amazon that honestly works unbelievably well, definitely not a bottleneck for a 20 year stereo which for that price is all you can really ask for. It has a USB port as well, so I’m going to get this phone mount that has a wireless charger, clips into the ac vent. With that setup, I’ll have Bluetooth audio and whatever phone gps system I want for $30. I don’t know if links are allowed here, but here are the things I’m talking about. I’m not a sponsor for em or anything but they seem to work well
https://www.ebay.com/itm/124113336544
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F2RTN5Z?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Works perfectly, transmits on FM signal: https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-FM-Transmitter-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B07F2RTN5Z
The one I use for my Z. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F2RTN5Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 works fine and it automatically turns on and pairs with my phone when I turn the car on.

Sorry for any confusion here I was talking about something like this https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-FM-Transmitter-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B07F2RTN5Z/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=bluetooth+receiver+for+car&qid=1635310303&qsid=141-1531074-2360318&sprefix=bluetooth+re%2Caps%2C120&sr=8-5&sres=B08KY684PB%2CB07GB7298K%2CB07F2RTN5Z%2CB07H5C2BQX%2CB0756WZ2V3%2CB094FVLHGV%2CB018E0I01I%2CB0977KY86Y%2CB01MSUWCZ0%2CB08F74CFM7%2CB07GJ7DHMP%2CB097Y8NF4H%2CB01HDO66NK%2CB01M0SFMIH%2CB08HZ4LKT2%2CB00RH29CJO that transmits the bluetooth to radio for a radio in an older car to use with the factory original head unit. Otherwise just using a cheap head unit such as https://www.amazon.com/Soaoun-Handsfree-Bluetooth-Receiver-Automobiles/dp/B08W52DXXW/ref=sr_1_17?crid=10NFPTHRF76YP&dchild=1&keywords=head+unit+bluetooth&qid=1635310519&sprefix=head+unit+bluetooth%2Caps%2C95&sr=8-17
I'm a little confused on OPs situation as to what his vehicle has in it currently for audio. Also as a note, the FM transmitters only end up having so so audio quality due to all the conversions that take place.

Do you know you can get a Bluetooth transmitter for your car if it doesn't have Bluetooth built in? Or you just prefer listening to the radio? My car is old and doesn't have Bluetooth so I just use something like this
This one works well for me. Pretty low profile and it has a fast charging port too.
Get a Bluetooth FM transmitter for your car. You can connect via Bluetooth and listen the same way you would with an aux chord.
Here's the #1 best selling bluetooth transmitter on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-FM-Transmitter-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B07F2RTN5Z
That one is okay, I've gone through a lot of these trying to find a good one. I liked this one a lot.

I hope links aren't banned. Here
Cheap, but highly functional option --> https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F2RTN5Z/
Google FM modulator and maybe add bluetooth if you want.
https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-FM-Transmitter-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B07F2RTN5Z
I don’t think it needs to be that complicated. Try something like this item instead (I’m in the USA but I’m sure something similar is available there)
on my 2015 S I ended up using a BT --> FM adapter for my podcasts.
something like:
https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-FM-Transmitter-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B07F2RTN5Z
it mostly worked fine (music sounded like ass)

Title: I purchased a phone charger off of Amazon and it broke my phone.
Original Post:
> The charger in question is here. I plugged my phone in and it went black after a few minutes, then went into this cycle of showing the Apple screen then going black again - over and over until it died. Tried the phone this morning and to no avail - same thing. My phone's battery is shot, the home button/finger scanner is not functioning due to lack of power (can't do hard reset), and the phone won't turn on. > At the least I want Amazon to cover the price of the replacement battery (if that's the solution), but what happens if the phone is shot? Is amazon liable? The page even specifically says, "Smart output current pairs all cellphone and tablet, safely charging to your device without damage to the battery."

Like others have said bluetooth fm transmitters are the way to go. Here’s what I have in both my cars
https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-FM-Transmitter-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B07F2RTN5Z/
Get one of these instead, and play music with your phone. It has bluetooth and emits whatever you send it to an empty FM station of your preference. Has a mic as well to answer calls. Works as a radio antenna powered by a bluetooth signal basically. I'm sure you could buy them locally as well. Quick charge 3.0 usb, also usb for music, there are even some models with aux input. Choice is yours.
If there is an aux plug somewhere you could plug your phone in there. Otherwise get a “car radio adapter for phone”, which converts your phone’s audio to an fm station, like this one.
Hopefully you have a smartphone with music? If you’re wedded to cds and have an aux port you could use a portable cd player, but this is probably the right time to join the 21st century.
You could possible look into getting a bluetooth fm transmitter (example). This will allow you to connect your phone to the bluetooth fm tranmitter then you could use the radio to transmit your sound from your phone.
Or you could use the car’s existing stereo for Bluetooth music and hands-free phone calls with even simpler and quicker installation (really!): Bluetooth FM Transmitter (Amazon)
I haven't personality tried these, but
https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-FM-Transmitter-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B07F2RTN5Z/
For $20 you can get a Bluetooth adapter that works in any car. Why would you need an aux cable?
