Casey Anthony was acquitted for a few reasons:
1) the jury pool was a bunch of uneducated people because they only way to find jurors who hadn’t heard of the case was to find people who had no friends who discussed the news and also didn’t read the news or use the internet
2) a jury is told the case has to be “beyond a reasonable doubt” to convict - but Casey’s lawyer confused the hell out of them by presenting multiple implausible scenarios (Caylee died in the pool, Casey’s nanny did exist and she took her, the dad did it, Casey was molested by her father and suffers mental torment) - all of this without any evidence to back it up - but it was enough to confuse the jury enough for them to say the evidence did not lead to “beyond a reasonable doubt”
There’s a book by Jeff Ashton (prosecutor in the Anthony case) it’s called Imperfect Justice and it outlines all the chaos of how that case fell apart when the whole country knows exactly who did it.
